Twice now I've experienced really poor business banking service. Chase branches will not answer their phone and they are not permitted to have voicemail. When the recording says all agents are busy, the recording tells you to call the 800# then THEY HANG UP on you. It's stunning. Today, between talking to the 800 # staff and talking to the branch mgr at Murray hill branch, I spent two hours questioning why deposited checks totaling $100,000+ on Oct 10th had not cleared into my account, despite the issuing bank in California (Exchange Bank) stating they released the funds to Chase on Oct 11th. The 800# and branch mgr said the exact same line. "Chase has a hold on the funds till Oct 19th and Exchange Bank won't tell me if the funds were released because we are not the account holder for the checks you deposited." Yes well my Mom is the account holder, she called Exchange Bank and told her today, the funds were released to Chase on Oct 11th. Asked if there was anyone in Chase higher up that could review the interbank exchange to see if the flow of $100,000+ had occurred or not. Yes but they're not going to do that. Mgr called loss prevention who says Exchange Bank won't talk to them. Look at the computer screen "the hold is until Oct 19th, then they will be released." It will just magically appear Oct 19th after they've collected interest for a week. I'm beginning the process to interview smaller banks to move my personal and business accounts out of Chase. Oct 19th, the funds magically appeared in my account. Will transition 2 business and 1 personal away from Chase and give my business to Columbia Bank. They answer the phone and want to talk to customers.

We walked in to talk to a banker and weren't greeted for nearly 15 minutes. So we left! We tried again a week later, were greeted 10 minutes after walking in and were asked to take a seat to wait for banker. We sat for over 30 minutes and then were told he was on lunch. Terrible experience.

The extremely competent banking personnel are almost equally split between men and women and include people of color. I appreciate how comfortable I've always been made to feel which is not always common for Chase.

Easy parking and not busy. They were very helpful as well.

There is always a wait and they are understaffed during lunch which is always busy. Wish there was a closer location for my office deposits.
