Went into this branch this morning to set up a new debit account and the Lady at the desk said that no one was there to help me. I asked when someone will be in and she replied that she's booked all day. No one was there but me, like what do you even do for a living?
Just last month, I redeemed U S Treasury Savings Bonds inherited from my mother now deceased. Today, I went back with two more bonds from her estate, but Chase Bank apparently implemented a new rule where they will no longer redeem US Savings Bonds. Was going to put the proceeds in my Savings account; appears Chase doesn't really care anymore. I'll find another local bank in the near future.
Thanks for wasting my time. Attempting to open an account for my foreign exchange students. Made multiple trips. Told each time to bring different documents. Sandy Sights couldn’t even explain what was needed to open an account without a social security number. We had to Google it for her. Plus because they have closed so many branches, we had to drive an hour round trip twice for nothing!!
This branch is a shame for Chase Bank. We start a new business and need a bank account for international trade. My boyfriend and I chose Chase Bank because they are well-known internationally. I called Lapeer branch asked if they handle international wires... teller didn’t know, which.... is ok. I later got a yes and come in from the Branch manager Kim... long story short, after submitted all info, I expressed several times that we have a 30% down payment need to be wired to our supplier ASAP... what happened after that took my breath away. Kim told us that regional manager Tim will call me in 24 hours, after 24 hours I didn’t hear anything, I reached out to Tim who said it was a mistake that he was not the right person for this, so I went back to Kim. Kim apologized and said another management team would handle my account opening and they have noticed this is a urgent-matter... I am told Chase needs maximum 5days to scan all information and someone will contact me IF THEY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. I patiently wait for 5 days, nobody call me to follow up. I call Kim again, message was taken said she will call me right back, no call back. I called again the 6th working day, Kim said your account is rejected you cannot open account. I ASKED WHY YOU REFUSED a business owned by a US citizen who live in Lapeer over 50 years with EIN number and all information you need, SHOULD YOU CALL US AS YOU PROMISED IF YOU ARE CONFUSED on any information we provided?! The answer I got is that there is no need for Chase to explain to their customers!!! YOU KNOW WHAT? I turned to Citizens Bank and got my account opening with the same paper I provided to Chase and I GOT MY MONEY WIRED out to my supplier in the same day!!! What a shame for Chase! Your employees are not only do not have the knowledge about your products, they also have no honors for the positions they filled in. It is pathetic to run your business like this, I would not suggest anyone to do business with you.
I live in Lapeer but have to drive to Davison Chase to be treated accordingly, unless I deal with the manager directly wish I remembered her name she used to work at Davison as well at the Lapeer location. They do not answer their phone. They charged me a fee to have my card overnighted I received it 9 days later. Thankful for the Davison location they refunded me. The tellers are extremely rude at the Lapeer location as well. As stated above I have to waste my gas to drive to Davison just to be treated fairly.
The staff is friendly but Chase seems to be obsessed with fees . I don't think its right to charge your own customers 12.00 per month just to bank with them. That amount adds up very fast. Along with other fees, even to talk to certain people on toll free, there's a charge ! Its unreal
All of the associate bankers were very friendly! Love my Chase Bank in Lapeer!
My parents and I 55 have had accounts at Chase Lapeer for nearly twenty years. They have always been very friendly, helpful, and patient.
Poor business banking services, poor mortgage and refi client services. If you’re looking for the least assistance with your banking, this would be perfect.
