Chase Bank

I banked with First Merit back when it was still Citizens and started running into all kinds of issues with a new job I got. The company is in Texas and the paychecks are decent. Every time I made a deposit they froze my account and said "it's because of the size of the checks and that they're from Texas, is there any other method of depositing this check you could use?" Seriously!? Got a new bank, no problems since. Goodbye FirstMerit, now Huntington.

They gave me great service on wire transfers and advice on how to have the lowest fees for whatever I am trying to do. The manager is extremely patient and a very cool guy who hides how brilliant he really is. He has an investment banking background but you'd never know unless asking for the info. I can empathize with any who ran into problems but I've always had stellar service and I go there often to get things done. They are going to powerfully help me get my business to the next level.

Going down hill fast. Less employees all the time. The ones that remain are rude and always seem too busy for customers. I guess chase is cutting back and customer service is suffering.

I use the conveniently located ATM outside all the time and the staff has always been friendly.

Called to cancel a lost debit card, and after sitting on hold an hour, paying $30 to have a new card overnighted to an address I don't live at, I found out the girl closed the wrong card. This means that I have to spend the night in my truck in a gas station parking lot. Its 10 below zero and I have no access to my money because of her screw up. Since I'm 400+ miles from home, I have to hope that card shows up tomorrow so I can convince someone to drive there and trust them w/ my pin to withdrawal money from my account & put it in another bank, otherwise I'm stuck in this parking lot til some time Monday- 4 days. I'll also have lost my job at that point. Want a bank you can trust your money to? Try PNC. While not great, they've never put me in a position where I might die from hypothermia atleast.
