I just love it here at Chartwell Isabella in Thunder Bay. Recently, my husband spent 3 weeks in respite at Isabella Place. We were both very pleased with the experience. Because my husband has a dementia and was using outside services, I had the services temporarily increased. I also arranged for friends to do activities with him. And he participated in many of the activities offered by the facility. All staff were accommodating, friendly and caring. We would both recommend Isabella Place for temporary respite. Thank you to all who made this experience a good one!
Where to start?!? 5 stars isn’t enough to convey the amazing experience we have had at Chartwells Isabella.nMy Dad was hesitant to move because of false information floating around. He will be the first to say “they were all wrong!”nFrom the moment we connected with Amy and we’re given a tour to maintenance e help from Victor after moving in - everything was smooth and seamless.nEvery time we walked in we were met by either Tripthi or Anusha’s smiling faces and they so helpful in answering our questions.nTraci the activities director always has something going on and included my Dad immediately.nAshwin and Avtar checked in our my Dad daily to see how he was settling in and if he needed anything. We even had May running to our room when we accidentally pressed the emergency call button. It is so reassuring to know if anything happens there is a way to get help immediately!nnThe entire building is clean and comfortable. We even enjoyed playing pool in the billiards room where Geo - one of the housekeeping staff got a good chuckle at our antics.nSteve the insight nurse is incredible and my Dad felt connected to him immediately. His calm demeanour and compassion make him a perfect fit for this community of seniors.nFinally, a shoutout to Christine and Maria who both serve meals in the dining room. Not only did they banter with my Dad but they welcomed him right away and are so attentive to the needs of the residents.nMoving into Chartwells was hands down the best decision we made and we are so grateful to have an option like this in Thunder Bay.
Special thanks to all staff for making my Mum’s Florence 98th birthday so merry. She really appreciated the singing and the poster birthday card with many signatures and good wishes.
I have had wonderful experience with the staff of Chartwell Isabella. Our Parents and now a friend in Respite have enjoyed the caring friendly extremely helpful staff daily. Special thanks to Cook and D/A Sabrina who is a breath of fresh air every Time I see hernChristine from D/A and Nurse Ashlynn have bee the best as well. The cleaning staff are so courtesy and efficient. Front desk staff are exceptional. The Woman in charge of recreational services is so kind..nHonestly I haven’t met a single staff member who hasn’t been cheerful and helpful.nThank you for so many years of wonderful experiences
