Comfort food. Not pretentious, good food. It's always cooked and prepared just how you order it and there is a decent salad bar with plenty of choices. "Down home" is a fair description. The food and atmosphere makes it an easy choice for bringing kids, especially with all of the old photos, tools, and life-size wooden people in old- timey garb.

Excellent service and some of the best food in Hood River! People kept coming in with only 10 minutes to closing time and employees kept saying, “Of course we’ll make you something, whatever you want!” They were also cleaning when we came in, which we liked but still took our order right away. Our steak had to be cooked up just a bit due to personal preference, but the staff was very friendly about it and brought it back quickly and it was so so tasty!

The staff is fun and excited to see you. The salad bar fresh. I have the Philly sandwich it was good and I can't wait to try one of their cheeseburgers. I also heard that their cinnamon rolls or the best in Oregon.

Don't complain about your food here even if comes with melted plastic in it. They also think that it ok to serve pancakes raw in the middle and traditional French toast has corn flakes on it!!! When I complained I was asked to step away from the counter so others could not hear. And the manger called me anal!! All a bit odd.
