Broder Øst

Very happy with my first experience here. Came in for lunch and was seated immediately. The server dropped off menus and a large bottle of water and two glasses. I love when I can refill my own water. We ordered drinks which were very nice. I had the Swedish meatballs on a brioche bun as well as the side of chicken apple sausage for only $3 extra. The meatballs were fantastic. Well seasoned and tender with a delicious creamy sauce. Very rich very decadent. The bun was great for moping up all of the remaining sauce. The sausage which was in patty form I was hoping for a link was good. Not outstanding but still worth every penny. I enjoyed the pickles and mustard and house made jam that it came with. Again only $3. My wife got the Lefse Breakfast which was also very good. The crepe was a great texture and the chevre and smoked trout went very well together. The baked eggs had a very well done yoke which I don't prefer but maybe it's supposed to be served that way. The salad was nicely dressed.nEdit: Went for a second time for another great meal. No need for a lengthy description, just check the pics. The burger is the one with beats and capers inside and topped with chevre. The frittata was brisket. I haven't had a bad thing here yet. The espresso is also better than average.

FOOD- The restaurant boasts Scandinavian-style dishes. We went for breakfast and had Lefse, which was delicious with a tangy flavor. We also tried the mushroom sandwich.nnSERVICE- Friendly staffnnLOCATION- Located right in downtown, on Oak Street.nnWAITING TIME- It's a popular place, so we had to wait for 15 minutes. After placing our order, the food took about 20-25 minutes to be served.

Such a unique eating experience and so good! I enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast skillet potatoes, squash, egg, cranberry topping. We were full and pleased with the service. We had a toddler with us and I wouldn’t say it’s the most toddler friendly just because it’s a smaller space, but if it’s nice out, you can eat outside! The chai latte was also the best we’ve ever had. We hope to return one day!

A few weeks ago, we went to Broder Øst for a surprise brunch for my partner. The staff was incredible. They were accommodating and constantly checked in on us. They also managed to get a table for our party of eight fairly quickly. The food was delicious—compliments to the chef—but what really stood out was the amazing staff. I believe our waitress's name was Amanda, and two others frequently checked in on us as well.nnFor anyone looking for great food, excellent cocktails, and the best time in Hood River, I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 every time. They even provided small plates and a knife to cut and serve my partner's birthday cake. Thanks to the staff, her birthday celebration was truly memorable.

Cute & cozy atmosphere, great service & delicious breakfast!nI really enjoyed the fritatta with smoked bacon & fig ricotta, loved the potato pancakes and their bread with honey butter was so tasty too. Everything was really fresh & delicious.nI'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
