Chalets Grand Pre Cottages

Do not stay at these cottages. The people are rude and scam you for money. They are stealing $500 from a group of kids and refuse to take calls. I’ve never met anyone more disrespectful than the woman that owns this place. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.

Beautiful quaint little place on the North side of PEI close to the centre. 30 mins from Charlottetown, very close to parks and on the central coastal route (coastal routes are must drives to see the beauty of this place). Close to places to eat fresh seafood and many other small outdoor amusement parks. The owner were very friendly and the place was well maintained and very clean.

DO NOT BOOK HERE AND DO NOT SEND THEM A DEPOSIT! My family booked two cottages and sent 2 deposits (which were cashed via e-transfer) in February for an August booking. We contacted Chalets Grand Pre Cottages 3 weeks prior to our rental to make a couple of inquiries only to be told there was no record of our reservation. We were told to call back the next day when Helen was in (that's who cashed our e-transfer...in February). Helen confirmed she had received our deposit and would see what she could do. The next day we received a call saying the two cottages we booked would be made available to us. We were annoyed but happy the family reunion could happen. Imagine our utter SHOCK when we got ANOTHER call saying that no, we couldn't have our cottages after all. This whole experience has been a nighmare from the horrific customer service, the poor business practices, and complete lack of professionalism. My advice? Find somewhere else where you can be sure your booking is honoured. This place is a joke.

Close to all kinds of fun things to do with the family. We're doing family fun package and with it come passes for Sandspit and Shining Waters along with a park pass for the incredible beaches. We're just blown away by the beauty of this area. The cottage we're staying in is cozy but big enough with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room. All the amenities we need and then some including air conditioning and a jacuzzi tub. Towel service daily comes in handy considering we have to bathe the kids after the beach each day (sometimes multiple times - the red sand gets everywhere). We're very impressed with everything in PEI so far and are falling a little in love with the place.

Cozy cottages with all the features we were looking for. Conveniently located with very short driving distance to town as well as beaches. The staff is phenomenal. My kids and I enjoy ourselves and I would consider coming back.
