I can’t thank Dr. Clerfond and the oncology team enough. He removed Cassie’s mast cell tumor in the summer and provided excellent follow up care for the remainder of her life. The surgery was scheduled with another specialist centre, but there were some red flags. I’m VERY grateful Dr. Clerfond was able to see us quickly because she was going downhill fast. He was easy to trust, took his time to explain everything, and address all our concerns. He actually listens and responds to questions in a thoughtful way. You can tell he not only cares about his patients, but their humans as well. I finally felt confident my best friend was in good hands. The surgery was successful, healed perfectly, and my 12 year old dog was like a young pup again. Her quality of life improved dramatically for the time she had left and we absolutely made the most of it. Sadly we had to say said goodbye to Cassie last week. We knew her time was limited and were well informed on treatment options. It gives me peace of mind to know we made the best decisions for her care over the last 6 months. All the other staff I interacted with at the DMV were lovely and highly compassionate. While the wait was excruciatingly long, I understand this because we had a minor emergency our vet couldn't see to in time, and so we were low priority. However, once we were seen the vet who took care of goose my cat was professional and gentle with her, checked around the issue to make sure there wasn't something causing it we couldn't see there was, the eye problem turned out to be a mouth problem, and made sure that my cat could handle the antibiotics before prescribing any to avoid any further complications. It's pricey, but to be expected for an emergency vet service. Hopefully will never return, but if I do I know my animal will be in good hands.

My Juicy woke up with a bleeding face and I can't praise the staff enough. They were so kind and efficient and took such great care of my 15 year old pup. Juicy is going to be fine.

I have waited over 7 hours for my 17 year old cat to be seen by a vet, suspected of urinary blockage. I’m a veterinary technician and did not mention this on my arrival. They say they go by priority and some patients arrived and left during the time I was there. I spoke with these owners and asked about their pets….basically unless your animal is on the brink of death or is a cute dog, wait the next day to go to your family vet clinic. The staff is nice and polite and I was treated well. However for an emergency clinic the priorities are not being handled properly.

I'd like to start off with how amazing this animal hospital is! The staff is impeccable with their service and politeness. I had the pleasure to have Dr. Clerfond not only who worked on my dog once but twice with the same procedure for a TPLO surgery left leg April 2020 DMV Montreal, right leg August 2021 DMV Blainville. I cannot thank Dr. Clerfond and his team enough for both surgeries, time, patience and knowledge in making sure my dog has an amazing life post surgery. If you are looking for a surgeon in specialty of TPLO he's it! Thank you so much again DMV Blainville!

They were awesome. Had to put my 9 year old German shepherd down because she had a seizure that lasted over an hour. There truly sincere help and advise was greatly appreciated they made everything better. Able to say goodbye to my best friend without stress. Thank you so much DMV.

Today we had to put our dog to sleep due to his bad health. The team at DMV Blainville were very thoughtful, patient and explained every step of the procedure..they gave us all.the time we needed to say our goodbyes. We want to thank each of them for their caring patience, especially Roulla, she was very sweet and compassionate and made our ordeal a lot more bearable. We highly reccomend this place. From the phone call earlier this morning, I chose the option of a call back,they called back and we didnt need an appointment.

Spent over 3 hours on hold ! Asked if they were open yesand do we need an appointment no ! Drove 1 hour to be told they couldn’t see my dog ! Too busy! What kind of place is that! Now another 1 hour drive home ! Grrrr -***** Home now and just finished reading the DMV’s reviews! “Lots”of dissatisfied customers! If Only I had seen allllll the negative comments I wouldn’t have wasted my time ! If my dog had been in extreme pain I think I would have asked someone to shoot him and put him out of misery rather than waiting hours and hours to be seen by a vet or being refused at the door. Shame on you DMV ! P.S. your customer care responses left me even more frustrated! It’s obvious you are just covering up your blundering mistakes and only “care” about the mighty dollars!

I was extremely pleased with their services. I was referred to them from a Clinic in Ottawa I live in Val-does-Monts. My 5 yrs female Berner needed TPLO surgery and they took me within a week. The Dr called me after his working hours to discuss our case, as he had been extremely busy during the day and didn’t want me to think they had forgotten me. From the moment you walk in to the instructions for aftercare, they shared their knowledge of possible and expected concerns. Their friendliness and reassurance made this fur mama at ease to bring my girl home. Thank you DMV Blainville!!

Warning: DMV Blainville is not equipped to deal with emergencies. We arrived at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning and our 15-year-old dog was admitted right away. They wouldn't let her stay with us even though they told us she wouldn't be seen for a while because the vet was... dealing with an emergency. It was over four hours before we heard from the vet with their assessment and only then that treatment began. During this time, there was one vet on staff to manage the influx of patients. I repeat: One vet. At an emergency clinic. The DMV isn't paying to staff this facility properly and the health of pets is being jeopardized. We spent a total six hours in the parking lot waiting and, judging by the number of animals admitted during that time, guess the DMV Blainville must be billing tens of thousands of dollars per day. It's unforgiveable that they aren't paying to have enough staff to promptly treat the sick animals coming in its doors. We've since tried calling because we have yet to receive the file we requested or the evaluation of the radiologist we paid for the emergency x-ray but three days later haven't had the expert analysis but, unsurprisingly, there are not enough staff to respond to answer the phone. Our bill was $1200. No one from the DMV has followed up with us. Addition: your vet certainly did not call us at 10:57 a.m.; they called at 1:22 p.m. Proof available upon request! There may have been more than one vet on duty that day but there was only one vet on duty between 9:15 and when we received that call, four hours later. I asked the receptionist twice to be sure. I’m a journalist and I always double-check my facts. If you appreciate my trust, you should take the necessary steps to deserve it. Start by staffing your facility properly. People who bring their pet to an emergency vet are paying for a service they are not currently receiving. Just do better. Fix it. I have been DMV Lachine multiple times and have had good experiences there. In future emergencies, that’s where I’ll go. Btw, nice job on the review replies. Hope they pay you well for it!
