I’ve been to dozens of coffee places in town and this is my favourite by far. The taste of the coffee is great and consistent. They take pride in what they do. The ambiance is superb and the service is next level friendly. We used to go to planet bean once a week for a family coffee outing but now we go here.
Third wave coffee spot in Guelph that is a must visit. They take their coffee seriously. You just need to have a chat with coffee roaster Rufus to hear his passion for coffee and fair trade. I had a really good chat with him when I visited. The Cortado I had came in the right size and there are retail beans as well as brewing equipment on offer too.
What a great spot. Super discreet. Even once I entered the plaza, I had to kinda look for it. I’m glad I came up from Burlington to try the spot. Atmosphere, perfect for a coffee shop, bright, old mixed with new, love the local art work displayed that is available for purchase. Coffee roasting is done on site. The staff on site including the owner are clearly having fun with what they are doing and it shows. I spent about 30-40 mins on site drinking my americano and chatting with the owner. Lots of regulars coming in. Great vibes. If you like coffee, go visit. If you need a good atmosphere to go work, go visit. Hanging out with friends, go visit. Meeting someone? Go visit. Conclusion. Go visit.
Been a couple times and love it. IMO you judge a coffee shop by their Americano, and they do a very smooth Americano. Putting some pictures here of the desserts because I haven’t seen those posted yet. A nice selection of options from local bakeries and ones in Hamilton.
This is the best coffee place in Guelph, by far! The quality of coffee as well as the incredible attention of the owners, the cozy ambient, and the art around it, makes it the perfect place to enjoy a coffee. I’ve never been into a better coffee place.
I applaud the creativity of the drinks at this spot! They really do know their coffee and they know how to come up with crazy cool flavors that are thoughtfully executed. 10/10 recommend this space!Food: 5/5
Outstanding coffee, a step above the other local artisanal shops. The Cavan brothers really know their stuff, after honing their skills at Planet Bean for many years, then stepping things up another level on their own. They bring in high-end single origin beans, and have carefully developed brew recipes for each variety to bring out all the best flavours. Quality teas and treats as well. Highly recommended!
Been coming here for about a year now with my hubby. Although I wish they had a few more roasted bean selections, we’ve never been let down by the quality of their beans. They know what they are talking about when it comes to coffee and they are very friendly. They have interesting artwork from local artists and the overall ambiance of the shop feels laid back. Love coming here for the roasted beans and coffee.
Cool space + delicious bevis at this family owned coffee shop We dropped in recently and had an amazing experience with Rufus, one of the owners. He was super friendly and made us the best cold and hot lattes we've ever had! Bonus: Amazing art and a lovely, bright space to work and chill. We will definitely be back! Thanks Rufus :
You know you love a coffee place when you drive up from downtown...and that is my only complaint: we need a Cavan downtown Guelph! Great relaxed vibe but attention to coffee beans and coffee-making is not relaxed here - they take it seriously and the pay-off is big. Expensive? Maybe, but worth it. Every penny. I hardly go out for coffee anymore because coffee at home is waaaay better now that I buy Cavan beans. In fact it has ruined me for other coffee. Have to take a thermos of my own everywhere I go. Ha! And chats with owner a hoot. Love this place.
