Came here with family for a little meet up and everything was delicious. We sat outside on a gorgeous day and their patio was beautiful. Our sever was super sweet and very understanding and efficient in dealing with the chaos of larger parties who are a little all over the place. I got the featured pasta and it was delicious. The red pepper & tomato soup, as well as the calamari were super yummy would’ve been nice if the calamari was crispier, but still good. Their salads are huge and so yummy, same with their fish and chips. All around a very good experience, will definitely keep on the list to return.
Pasta was good, the source was just about right and not as greasy as other places. Kids pasta was at big portion! Our kid likes the gelato the best. ; very good dinning environment and good service overall.
My daughter works in the area an suggested we meet for lunch, have to say I really enjoyed it there!!! I had a meatball sandwich and roasted red pepper soup and all tasted delish. The establishment itself is very clean and comforting to relax and enjoy your time there, Chance our server was excellent!!!
Best Italian restaurant so far. Very fresh ingredients, big portions and taste! Nothing was missing I can't wait to visit again and try a different menu next time

We went for dinner and being a vegetarian it's very difficult to find good options but wow, the gnocchi was so flavourful and well put together I hope they keep it for the summer menu. Service was good, atmosphere was lovely as well.
We were driving through Ancaster when we decided to stop into Cavallo Nero for lunch. My husband and I had the battered halibut with a house salad. The fish was moist, perfectly fried and perfectly salted. The house salad was huge! It had candied walnuts just enough super fresh greens, a generous serving of arugula, blueberries, tomatoes and a just right amount of goat’s cheese. The dish also included fresh coleslaw. My daughter had a lettuce wrapped burger with fries. Also delicious! We had a “flight” of ice cream for dessert. Perfect for a summer afternoon! Most importantly, the service was impeccable. Our server knew how to communicate the attributes of each dish we asked about in a way that helped us decide if we should order it. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Really good food. Friendly service. Atmosphere is a bit too dark. It's a lot of black. Also their booths are in need of some love. Our booth and the others we could see had holes covered with black duct tape. It takes away from the nice restaurant experience.Food: 5/5
We had a great meal after golf last night on the charming patio. Our waitress was excellent and had no trouble modifying the menu to suit everyone’s needs. The salads, pizza and lasagna were delicious and the portions generous. My only negative was the fact that people were smoking outside the patio area off and on. Hopefully this can be resolved .
We had my friends birthday party in the private room and I could not have been more thrilled. The service was kind and attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet quiet enough to have a conversation. The drinks were well made and reasonably priced- although expectedly elevated to a standard drink. The way they stood apart, in my opinion was the food. We shared an amazing calamari across the table which was crunchy, chewy and delicious. I had the chefs special Ossobuco, which was amazing. Tender, juicy and well spiced, I couldn’t have asked for better. The pizza looked amazing. It was one of those rare experiences where nobody wanted to share or trade plates because we all loved what we ordered so much. Great for a special occasion, but I may have to return just to have dinner again!
