A wonderful modern and clean independent care facility. The attention to detail for decor, activities, menus and services result in a classy and caring atmosphere. Both the staff and residents are very approachable and friendly which means you quickly feel at home and can easily become active with others. We felt the costs for the suite and services were commensurate with the quality of what was provided and thus saw great value. Recommend, Tracey Bean.
To the owners of Cataraqui Heights Retirement Residence.nnI have to say Molly at the front desk is very helpful and friendly.nnBut when you have a concern and need to speak to the executive director, she is very rude to speak with over the phone..her attitude is terrible. Needs to learn how be more respectful.nnThe nurse on the third floor, her name is Sue, along with her sidekick who does the medication does not bother to check in on my family member who is living there. Nor does Sue let out a smile once in a while. I am sorry but if I was a nurse working in a retirement residence I would check in on everyone to make sure they are ok in terms of food and other important needs.nPlease do yourselves a favor and be a nurse that cares.
Knowing our parents will need a senior residence in the near future, as a family, we started touring local places together. It was our pleasure to tour Cataraqui Heights - it is by far - in our opinion - the BEST out there. I am glad we don't have to tour anymore! Mandy was incredibly helpful, informative and straight forward with answering our questions. In life this can be a big move and she provided our parents with the security, comfort and confidence that this is the right place for them when the time comes. We also had a dinner and the food was amazing as is the staff. I marveled at how each staff person who assisted us also greeted each resident as we moved through out the property - by name.
After the death of our father we decided to tour retirement homes for our mother. We toured a few and found that Cataraqui Heights was perfect. Our mother toured the residence and the display suite and fell in love with the decor especially the purple sofa she decided to go for it and never looked back. She's been there 3 months, she has made plenty of friends, likes the food, and especially social hour where there are always lots of laughs. She loves being part of the Blossom program and Aman Tung is always getting her involved in activities. We just experienced the Friends and Family christmas party and it was beautiful. Thank you to Jessica and her staff for making the transition easy and stress free.
We continue to have a good experience at Cataraqui Heights with the care of my sister. The staff are extremely helpful and caring. The apartments are quite substantial and well cared for. Meals are superb and plentiful. Activity Programme is tailoured for the needs of the resident. It is continuing to be a POSITIVE experience for us as caregivers and my sister as a resident.
