Having had Castaways recommended for dinner,  we went.  We were greeted by Cora,  the hostess/ waitress.  Very friendly and upbeat.  We ordered 2 cups of clam chowder,  tea and coffee... all the were very good! Having seen pics of the Club sandwich,  not to mention being a fave in a lot of other restaurants we visit.  We ordered ours to go,  Cora ask if we'd like garlic fries (additional cost)...I ask what was different/ special about them... she described them as regular fries tossed with bits of garlic,  fresh parmesan,  and parsley (I believe)... they sounded amazing!!  We got our order,  took the 5 minute drive back to where we were staying,  opened our dinner... and were shocked/ disappointed!!  This was supposed to be "toasted" sourdough... far from toasted,  barely warm.  Normally a club comes cut in fourths... this one wasn't even cut in half.  My husband got a knife so it could be cut... the bacon was so tough,  I had trouble getting through it.  The cheese patties that were on mine,  weren't  melted at all!!  The second sandwich didn't have ANY cheese at all!!  All in all,  very,  very disappointing dinner for $65!!  
I was ask if they were busy,  I would have to say no... there were a few people there,  already been served,  two orders had been placed.   It was between 5:30-6:00 pm...

We have eaten here a few times over the years and it was always fantastic. We had a great waitress this visit. The food was okay this visit. I asked for a couple of side pieces of halibut to go with my meal, when it got to the table they were really tiny pieces and they charged me six bucks, so I asked the waitress about it and she said she would go make sure that we got the appropriate sizing for our money. When she came back with another fairly small piece of halibut, she said if the manager asks tell him that I, meaning me the customer dropped it on the floor and that is the reason for the extra piece of fish. I didn't like that I was asked to lie over the very small portions at the cost they were charging. Had the manager of asked me I would have told him, her the truth.. Your portions are way way too small for the amount of money you were charging. Overall a fairly decent experience aside from that. :-)

The salmon fish and chips was to die for. So tender and moist. And the crab artichoke dip was amazing as well. Wonderful friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely going back.

Update: went back the next day for the clam chowder bread bowl. Highly recommended

My husband and I come here everytime we are in town.  Love this place.  Staff always friendly, food is great.

Chowder was average and Luke warm.  Might have been better if warm and sourdough bread.  Service quite slow.
