Story

Located in the heart of Detroit's Cass Corridor neighborhood (Midtown), Cass Cafe has has been a gathering spot for over 16 years. in addition to serving tasty lunch and dinner creations, the Cass Cafe is also a cultural hub. The Gallery features some of the finest art exhibitions in the Detroit metro area, and the monthly Cass Collective music series highlights the best up-and-coming talent from Detroit and beyond.

Other events are scheduled throughout the month. Cass Cafe can accommodate large parties for special events, receptions and more. Breakfast is served on Saturday only, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Contact us for more information.

Food is above average for the area. I’ve been there over 6 times and I’ve always had a friendly fast attentive server. Cocktails and menu items are unique.

Amazing food, really amazing. The service was terrible. I finished eating and tried to wave down the server for a box and the check. She made eye contact with me, and ignored me. About 5 minutes later my boyfriend finished his food, completely cleared his plate, and then stacked his dishes and put them at the edge of the table. It then took another 15 minutes before we could get the server to come over. There were only 6 tables in the restaurant, and there were 2 (maybe 3?) Servers on. Waiting 15-20 minutes for a bill when my dishes are clearly and obviously stacked at the edge of the table is unacceptable.

Great atmosphere, but POOR service. My friends card was lost. I was charged a group gratuity on my INDIVIDUAL tab. Pieces of orders never came out gas to be asked for repeatedly. When asked calmly about my friends lost debit card, the manager put her hand in my friends face. It was a horrible mess. I won't be returning.

Hummus do not order not very good however the ambience is friendly and lay back I ordered also the chicken fingers with peanut sauce which was very tasty. I would go back .
