I had the vegetable rice dish creole ratatouille and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was OK, but the ratatouille is outstanding, the plantains tasty and the pasta salad remarkably good. What a great addition to the generic food court options!
Ordered the griot meal with Doordash. Very generous portion!! Everything was really good 8.0/10 except the griot 6.0/10 . It was dry and tough . I wish they would cook griot to order instead of cooking it in advance. Overall 7.0/10Food: 3/5
Usually you won't be hungry when you go to a food court, but the food will often not be memorable. Not so at this restaurant. I ordered the BBQ chicken. The rice was rather standard I'd say, the green salad was good, but the chicken....! The chicken was tender and came in a delicious BBQ sauce. I really enjoyed it and the portion was just right. The staff was also really friendly. I will definitely be back on occasion to try other stuff. Definitely a good addition to the food court!
Surprisingly very good for a food court restaurant and great service, too! I ordered their griot plate and it was comparable to sit-down restaurants. You wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. I really hope everyone goes out to support them because they're location in the food court isn't the greatest and obviously not their fault. Aléken will probably be my go-to place now when I'm looking for a bite to eat at Carrefour Laval.
Friendly staff, fast service. The rice was perfect and the bbq chicken was delicious. Love the banana. Will come back.

One of the worst griyot ever, save your money please. It saddens me cause I genuinely wanted to support a Haitian business in carrefour.They gave me all the fat and like 2 pieces of actual meat, the riz collé was a disgrace and the ammount of sauce was disrespectful. The pikliz was literally a coleslaw it wasn't spicy for one bit. The one star is for the banan pese that was bad but at least hot. Get it together , you are in Carrefour, one of the most frequented mall in Québec, make people fall in love with haitian food cause haitian food is delicious but you guys didn't live up to it.
I am happy to see that we finally have our own spot at carrefour Laval, I talked to two persons about their experiences, they say the banan peze is not up par, the griot is a bit dry, the pikliz is not good, the chicken are not really fried but cooked under the oven.the place do have potential, I would like for you guys to improve on these things. Hearing those comments from people that I know is not motivating me, maybe one day I'll give it try.
I really enjoyed the food. And would definitely go back. Much better quality than most food court restaurants . Authentic & delicious!
