Story

Casa del Rio was a small, family run restaurant started in 1997. Casa del Rio closed after the owners decided to retire November 2012, but are re-opening very soon!

The Gonzalez and Chacon famlies are excited to announce that we will be opening our doors again. Not only are we preparing to open, we are also planning our famous Margaritafest for this May!

I used to love this place. The new ownership/managers, whatever have destroyed it. The food is now bland and tasteless. The waitress we had tonight was horrible, we waited for over 20 min for our drinks only for another waitress to notice that they were sitting up at the bar melting. Our waitress barely checked on us at all, the one time she did was for me to send back the guacamole (that she had forgotten) because it tasted frozen, she didn't even say anything just took it back and never checked on us again. My sister and I ordered enchiladas, hers had shrimp, mine were chicken and they mixed up the sauces on them. The beans and rice tasted burnt. The only reason we got our check was because another waitress noticed that we were being neglected and very kindly helped us. Unfortunately the table was still under the other waitresses name though so she wouldn't recieve a tip for taking over and helping us. Never ever going back.

Newly remodeled. Now called Casa del Rio. Food is good, worth a visit. They were a little short-staffed on the Saturday afternoon we were there but the server did a good job nevertheless. Not necessarily outstanding, but a nice, standard, enjoyable Mexican family restaurant.

I have been eating here for many years and the food has kept the same quality since the change. Our service is consistently above average and the salsa and margaritas are worth the the drive into town.

I've been coming here since 1998 when we moved to Wisconsin. Best fajitas in the US. Great family owned and staffed business.
