Carvalho Coffee Roasters Cafe

By far my favourite coffee shop. Gentleman behind the counter continuously made my group laugh and set the stage for what was to be a fantastic visit. My latte tasted great. The French toast was the best I had ever had. Would strongly recommend Carvalho Coffee based on its service, coffee, food, and atmosphere. Bravo.

Confused by some of the poor reviews here. I have lived in Paris and came in here all the time when it was brown dog. New ownership I would say is still amazing. Good food and good coffee/lattes. I think some people just don’t like change. It is still the same cozy/historic spot with an amazing view. Good sandwiches too!

I loved the Brown Dog Cafe, would bring international visitors here to experience small town Canadian hospitality. Thoroughly disappointed with new ownership. During my last visit the employees started arguing while serving me. I still love the apple fritters, but won't be visiting this cafe again any time soon.

Coffee is great and the location is amazing! We've had the food a few times as well and have never been disappointed. Go get a coffee, sit on the patio and watch the Grand flow by!

Good coffee, fritters are excellent, free WIFI (just ask for the password). Was quiet on a winter morning and even though everything is covered in snow there is still a great view of the Grand from a few tables. It was a great place to warm up from the -15°C weather outside.
