I had the “Twosy”. Everything but the hash browns were good, but nothing was special enough to get the 5th star. Service was very good. I didn’t like the hash browns but that’s pretty common for me, I’m not the right person to judge them.
Great family style restaurant. Features a HUGE menu !!! You name it they have it. Very tasty fluffy pancakes and crisp thick bacon. Good coffee. Great wait staff always there to re-fill your cup. Wonderful omelets and crepes. Good place to go for any meal and a large area of seating, so you have some private talking time. Great for families with kids.
Food is good and they have a big variety. Staff is very nice. Great family atmosphere. Was not impressed with the Thanksgiving meal. There was a special menu. There was a variety of choices which was great however the prices were so high. I know inflation is bad right now but $25.99 for a turkey dinner seemed really high. The Julianne salad was the same price. Also, the stuffing was not so great. For a regular dinner they are great but was disappointed in the Thanksgiving meal.
Enjoyed the meal at Carol's. I had the mashed potato burger, which was very good large portion, too. My friend had the turkey blt, which was also great. She says the iced tea is possibly the best she has ever had, which is saying something. They gave us warm bread before the meal, which was incredibly fresh. The fries that came with the meal were only average. Service was good, decor/atmosphere was average at best, and prices were reasonable. We'd come back.
I've been to Carol's Garden 3 times. The owner is pleasant but doesn't appreciate your criticism or recommendations. Don't expect an incredible dining experience. Food items were either good or we gave it to another person at the table. I don't recommend ordering anything "exotic" or expensive on the menu. Stick with the basics. These were all good. Service was slow but acceptable. Restaurants have changed in the last few years. Prices were reasonable. I look forward to going back. It was empty when we visited each time.
This is definitely one of the better restaurants in the southern Carol Stream/northern Wheaton/Glendale Heights area! They have as wide of a variety of selections as you would see anywhere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals! There is also a good variety of fresh in-house-made appetizers and desserts. They have timely and accurate service and very affordable meals! We would definitely visit again if we are in the area!
Not happy with half chicken meal..was left over not fresh. The white meat tasted like dark meat, also the color was grey. The Stuffing,mash and salad were good. The thin young male manger was indignant when i mentioned the poor quality. Claimed it was fresh. $16.99 for old food plus drink, bill was over $22 for old food not counting the tip. Disappointed i use to eat there alot before the pandemic. It will be a long time before i ever go in there again.
Carol's Garden has always been a great place, with great food - an extensive menu as expected in a family style place - but still have only had good experiences with every item. The portions are oversized, and generally you will find yourself asking for a carton to carry home leftovers. Do try the veggie inspired entrees, have been impressed with all of them!
Good portions of food. However, it did take quite long for the food to come out but I won't hold it against them since everyone is struggling for staff these days. Good atmosphere, good people, tasty food. Recommended
What a fantastic place!! We tried for breakfast today and it’s our new favorite spot the food is phenomenal and atmosphere is so family friendly! It’s a great place HIGHLY recommend
