I had a recent stay at Carlton Lodge and had an amazing experience. The room was spacious and clean, with a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. The pool was amazing, and the relaxing Jacuzzi in the room was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. You won’t regret it.
Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast - freshly cooked you could watch them make the scrambled eggs. Comfortable rooms. I could hear the people talking in the next room but they stopped by the time I wanted to call it a night. Older style but very comfortable.
We had a second floor room and there was no elevator. Room was clean but the bed was hard with noisy springs. Breakfast was good but people like to crowd you in. Older pool, needs to be updated especially the windows looking outside. Has a lot of potential especially the courtyard area.
Lovely lodge with great fluffy pillows! The decor is a bit dated, but it added to the charm, and above all, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable.nnKids loved the indoor/outdoor heated pool, and the hot breakfast the next morning was delicious - I especially loved the biscuits and gravy.
You know you messed up when you arrive and already feel the need to look at the reviews. The girl at front desk had a not very great attitude to say the least to start off our stay. If you’re staying more than a single night you may want to bring your own towels and find the nearest dry cleaner because they want to you re-use the two towels in the room to save them detergent. You’ll also need to spend more to get yourself breakfast elsewhere or you’ll be making yourself a waffle and drinking a milk carton 1 per customer. Hallways and stairwells both are very dirty. Shower floor is stained black and barely drains while taking even a 5 minute shower. Stains on the bedding and curtains. Water spots on ceiling. Pool was not kept very clean. Doors say they’re locked 24/7 for safety but at least one of the doors lock has been broken for sometime now and can be entered through at any time. You will also need to unplug their alarm clock or it will go off every 10 minutes after midnight. Was our second stay, the first time we came here it was not bad at all but after this time we will not be coming back. Could be a very nice place if the owner got a grip on some of these issues. Only pros were the air conditioning and the many restaurants near by.
