Carlaw Pastry and Cafe is a one-stop shop for cakes and pastries from Dufflet, Phipps, La Bastille and Churchills. If you like treats from those places or for some reason want to do a blind taste test to see who's the best and don't want to go driving all around the city, then this is the place for you!
Our family have been there since the first day they've opened. And from there, it's just gets better and better. Cute and cozy little cafe have a variety of coffee blends and tons of sweets to choose from. We sure are coming back again and again especially for my favourite Matcha Latte carefully made by I think her name is Sharon. Next time I'll try another drink. Annnd, I will watch out for that "discount sign" as every now and then they offer discount
coziest and friendliest place you’ll ever find. irene makes amazing coffee and food!! had the brie everything bagel for days and still couldn’t get bored of it!! if you’re looking for a place that feels warm, welcoming, has good company and food, this is the place for you!
I see it everyday now on my way to work and had to give it a shot. The interior is small but very well done, all the wood furniture gives it such a cozy experience! The wide windows are great for people watching too; I really enjoyed my treat that I got, the flavour is incredible, im really glad this place is open till 8 and I can stop by after work to wait out rush hour! Plus right on the bus route
This place is truly something else. Amazing coffee, deliciously addicting yummy baked treats and a wonderful staff. Perfect place for a family date and friends.
Really good local spot with good service and food x drink !
I'd highly suggest this place. The patio seating is nice and there is a fantastic selection of sweet treats. The americano is far superior to Starbucks.
They have all the products a traditional patisserie would have. We had some of their danishes and they were great. Just look out for the parking signs and parking wardens on weekdays.
New cute coffee shop in the neighborhood, but the coffee is nasty. Tastes like burnt bread, how can you mess up a coffee latte?. I have tried their coffee 4 times and only once did it came out okay and that was when the NICE Pregnant lady made my coffee. Other staff members their don't know what they are doing. Sorry wont be coming back. such a shame. Their pastry is okay though but they don't make the pastries themselves.
Cute little spot with friendly staff and generous pricing. I like the idea of pastries from various bakeries! I think the most overlooked area here is quality control. I’ve had two very burnt espresso based drinks here and two poorly made matchas a cup of milk with matcha powder sprinkled on top. I see in the comments customers have had similar experiences with drinks. Please consider coffee barista training - would love to support in the future if this is corrected.
