I would highly recommend Roemer Rooter. We had an emergency situation and were in need of a plumber immediately. Barry, the owner of Roemer Rooter, arrived without any delay and was able to fix our plumbing issues effortlessly. I appreciated Barry explaining such a complex job in layman terms so that I was able to understand. He was honest, fast, efficient, and didn't overcharge us. If you are in need of a plumber, I highly recommend Roemer Rooter!
I checked out several companies to install a tankless water heater. Roemer Rooter showed up on time. They were courteous and friendly. Cleaned up, when completed and the job looked great. My experience with Roemer Rooter- I called this business and asked for a quote for the plumbing related to moving my gas meter. I received a quote for what I understood to be that service and had the first 90% of the service performed. I paid 500$. After finishing the trench and scheduling to have the supply line and meter moved by avista, I called to have roemer rooter come out to finish the final hookup to the new meter from the stub they left. I told the scheduler that Avista would be out at 8 am that morning and would be finished by that afternoon. I asked twice that the roemer rooter plumber would come out that afternoon, and the scheduler on the phone pushed back twice, saying that they would instead come out the next day, "just in case." Avista, of course, did finish that morning. My family, including my one year old, had no hot water to bathe with that night. Our obvious discomfort was of no consideration against the off-chance that avista would be delayed and their bottomline would be impacted. The next day, their tech did come out, but she failed to cap off the open line were the old gas meter was previously connected. I was at work that day. The tech told my partner that she would be good to turn on the gas once they left. My partner was about to turn on the gas on the phone with me, when I remembered to have her check that the old line had been properly capped. It had not. If she had not checked, natural gas would have been free flowing onto the side of the house, endangering the lives of my partner and child, as well as my house and all the possessions we have inside. Fortunately, I remembered to have her check, so instead my parter and child were left without hot water for another 6+ hours before the tech could return. Due to the poor attention to detail by roemer rooter, my families safety was left at serious risk. Due to the callous de-prioritization of our comfort by their scheduler, my family, including a 1 year old, was out of hot water for a completely unnecessary length of time. I decided to just let it go. Then, 3 weeks later, they sent me a completely unexpected $300 dollar bill. I replied via email, explaining the entire narrative above. There was no reply. Six weeks later, I received another statement notifying me that my bill was past-due. This company will choose its immediate bottom line over building a relationship with its customers, or even their physical safety. If you choose Roemer Rooter for your project, I hope for your sake everything goes smoothly. If it does not, you should not expect to find any accountability from them.
I have never encountered a more predatory and less trustworthy plumber than Roemer Rooter. I used them only because they were recommended and I was out of town on business - and unable to put eyes on the issue which turned out was a very simple 2 hour job tops. I had a trusted plumber come and inspect the work, they quoted a price that was 20% of what I was billed. Yes, this plumber over billed me by 80% because they knew they could take advantage of me. Lesson learned, Roemer raked me over the coals and I hope their reputation was worth it. Do not, repeat do not let this company into your home. To the "customer service" lady on the phone, you are in the wrong business. Please consider professional help for your anger issues, because you do not belong interfacing with the public.
