Captain Scott's Lobster Dock

This is a summer time institution not to be missed. Hard up against Crocker's Marina, you can eat lobster, fish and chips, a variety of seafood - the fried clams are popular - and even hamburgers and hot-dogs for those who aren't seafood lovers. It's not cheap, you are gonna wait in the summer - lots and lots of summer people - but the food is good and the ambiance is pretty New London. And you can bring your own beer and wine - which is pretty cool. All in all, you haven't 'done' New London unless you hit a couple of our summer food stands. Captain Scott's is definitely one of them.

Always get the scallops when we come here. The best we've found... Tasty and moist. Also nice to sit outside and see the water

This is what a traveler wants to see and experience off the beaten path. This is a local joint that is exactly what we were looking for. Great seafood served outside on the waterfront. I could go there eveyday until I tried it all. Had the lobster role and bisque and was great. In fact the best I have had concerning the lobster roll.

This can be tough to park at. The location is out behind what appears to be an old industrial area. Trains run alongside the restaurant though the view out to the ocean side is very nice with a marina directly adjacent. I ordered clams which were good and judging by the large crowd I expect the other food items are popular as well.

The seafood is great. I look forward to going every summer. The food truck they have is great as well. It's a little pricey but so is all seafood. I love sitting outside.
