Nice place to grab food if you have some time before your international flight. Food deserves solid 4, the overall bar estimate is currently at 3.4 and that's probably due to service times. Because of how busy the place gets at times, and what seems to be a lack of staff, their serving times are a bit slow, especially for people who have strict boarding times. It's not our first visit to the bar and it's one of the best places to get food at in that part of the airport. Make sure that you have at least an hour, better hour and a half before your boarding time. We had lunch and the service was pretty slow - we were sitting with noone approaching our table for good 10 minutes before we got our waitress to come and help us. Our waitress was really nice and sincerely cared to provide good experience. Food is a bit pricey, but, frankly, it's a thing for any food in airports. I ordered Cream of Tomato Soup, it was really really good. I literally fell in love with it. My husband had Roast Beef Dip sandwich and he says it was of decent quality and good flavor. Fries that came with it were a bit greasy, but crispy. We'll keep returning here. Hopefully they can adjust the number of staff they have to make service even better.
Everything was quite good for a restaurant anywhere but it was a super breakfast at the airport. The Benedict was fresh and tasty. One tap was empty but they still had a decent selection on draft. $10+ is a little higher than around town but very reasonably priced for airport beer.
Impressive wait staff! The young woman who take our name for the wait list was friendly and patient. The young woman who took care of us at our table wait was shorter than expected filled our water bottles, and kept our water glasses full. Both women, like the rest of the staff, wore masks, but you knew they were smiling! Husband ordered the chicken strips & fries and a coke. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad. He was disappointed that they had no honey mustard - just mustard, plum sauce or teriyaki sauce. He did like the plum sauce on his strips. My salad was good, but had too much dressing. The chicken was a bit dry, too. The food is okay for an airport location. The absolutely best part of this meal was the service and staff!
Not surprised about the food cost at YVR Airport, but the portion size was pretty big and it definitely fills you up. The Fish Tacos: 3 large tacos, with a good size fish. Tasted fresh and delicious. Solid entree! $20.99 Yam Fries: I thought I could add a small yam fries on the side, but it turned out there is only an appetizer size. $10.99 A $34 dinner? Way too pricey for a single person. Try to eat at home or somewhere else before you get to the airport.
Good airport food. Stuff pay attention to your empty glass. Poutine was definitely 5 stars. Most sitting places had power under the tables to keep your phone/laptop charged. I will definitely be back on my next trip
It was busy, and service was very slow. I mean wait 5 minutes to ask for a soda refill then wait another 10 minutes before the refill arrives slow. I personally think it was my server in particular that was having a difficult time, maybe he needs less tables but honestly it seemed like disinterest. The first pop was almost all ice, bad to ask for no ice from then on because I was pretty darn thirsty after rushing to the airport and going through security. Be a little more generous please. I ordered Calamari,.which came with a half lemon, roasted, and that was great - as well as fish and chips after. I wish I took a pic for you before I cut up the fish, it was one single, large, good quality piece. Very good food. I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 3 just because I don't think people would get a 3 star experience if they get another server. My server was comically slow and disinterested.
I admittedly came here simply because of the Canucks gimmick Nothing special though. However the poutine was nice. The server was on his first day so I gave him a pass for the slow service. Waiting time for the food took a while and there was an option to change the fries to soup but the server forgot about that detail The Canucks gear on display was off. The display said the first jersey was featured but it's the current Addidas uniform on display. I wish they'd change the details on the note at the very least Food was okay. Price not too bad but slightly subpar service
Drinks were good. I ordered a cobb salad with the blue cheese and dressing on the side. On the menu it said it came with grilled chicken. I paid 21.99 which is a lot for a salad...and the salad came out WITHOUT chicken. Server never corrected it or said anything. She didn't check on our table very much. Not worth the money for food that's missing ingredients and bad service.
Always nervous about trying airport food, but Canuck’s was awesome, the food was great and the service was too! Highly recommend if you have a layover in Vancouver airport
Excellent poutine. At least from a novice poutine eater. Warning though it’s filling. Think twice about ordering more. Great service!
