Went initially to see John Fogerty show which did not disappoint! The fair grounds flooded the day before due to excessive rain fall so they hired a shuttle service to bring us in. Very appreciative as parking was all mud. Shuttle service went very well. Thank you for that service! And thanks John Fogerty and HeartyHar for an amazing show.
Have been going every year since I was a child over 35 years always a great time with lots of fun activities
I love the Canfield Fair. As far as I am concerned, it is the best there is. It's the best fair out there. If you haven't been there, you need to go. Food vendors. Business vendors. The local media has booths. Farm equipment vendors. Military displays. Craft exhibits. Animal exhibits. 4-H. Municipality displays. Pumpkin displays. Grandstand events. I could go on and on. There is sooooo much more to love about the Canfield Fair. I highly, highly recommend it.
Went for the Scaregrounds experience. Some of the attractions were pretty short, but others kind of made up for it by being longer. The staff generally get into character REALLY well but there were a couple in the middle of one of the attractions just chilling with their masks off looking pretty depressed and generally throwing off the feel but honestly they're high school kids so eh, can't expect them to be in character constantly. Overall the experience was cool, but I would suggest getting there right when they open and not too close to Halloween because the lines get long fast.
It had been 20 years since I went but it still had quite a variety of things to see and do saw a milking cow demonstration that I hadn't seen before, enjoyed rides with my niece and nephew you can ride as a big kid, lol, and the displays of quilts, pumpkins, sunflowers, and bees are fun to see. And I loved the tribute to Idora Park and the memorabilia. The only downside is the lack of healthy food options for someone who can't do gluten or dairy.. I had to bring my own food in so I had a meal. Also it was hot and humid and would have been great to have watering stations I didn't see any but could be wrong so you didn't have to buy bottled water to have a cold drink...
I loved the horses and the food was great. Only issues I was having I wanted to recycle my plastic water bottle not one recycle bin. Wish for more recycling in the fairs. Other than that this was an amazing fair. Horses were beautiful loved seeing all the animals.
First time at this fair. It had a good variety of attractions such as farm animals antique tractors and live music. Also a small village with old buildings and a train. The carnival featured rides and games by Reithoffer Amusements a company that has been around for 125 years.
Carnival food, games, some really cool agricultural exhibits, and happy people having fun. Great little kid rides, and plenty of great spots to sit down and rest all day. Bought some beautiful hand-spun yarn from a local spinner who answered all my questions with pleasure. Really fun family tradition!
We are at the fair everyday every year!! We stay at the camp grounds have since 2005!! But my husband's family has all his life it is awesome and we love it!! It is our family vacation so to say! Great family time we are all together
