There is something about this place that energises you. Being close to the water and surrounded by people who are seeking an escape from the busy city always does the mind and body lots of good. This area is amazing for jogging, walking, kayaking and hiking with many cafes and restaurants along the way to fuel you.

Great park to relax and enjoy some bread and fruits from Atwater market right across the canal. Plenty of seating accomodations. Usually full of life and people enjoying summer.

Very pretty with and market near by. Great place for a bike ride or a stroll down the canal. Also check out the boat rentals.

This park is just beautiful. Many joggers and cyclists in the area, but you can certainly walk along the canal or have a picnic in the area - especially with the Atwater market around and the Canal Lounge bar-café.

In my opinion, this is the best neighborhood in Montreal. So many things to do (rollerblading, cycling, chess, shopping, people watching) , filled with people all summer and just filled with good vibes.
