I had a very frustrating experience today. During a busy time, there was only one cashier working and the self-checkout machines were completely closed. The line was long and moving extremely slowly. The cashier was spending around five minutes per customer, which made the wait unreasonable.nIf you’re going to reduce staff, at least keep the self-checkouts open. This kind of poor management during peak hours shows a lack of planning and respect for customers’ time. Very disappointing.

Today I had the worst experience with the girl at customer service. I was trying to do an exchange for a battery. The girl didn't know what she was doing and she was so rude!!! Every time I try to talk she would shuuuutttt me. After 2 manager showed up she was still so confused. The manager asked her to refund me for the old ones and charges me for the new one. She's still insisted that it doesn't make sense. Clearly they need to train their staff better. A person with an attitude like that should never be at customer service!!!

Wow! Quality of service has gone way down since change of ownership. Had the worst experience I’ve ever had a Canadian Tire today. First, they overcharged us at the service desk for our vehicle tire change, which we had to notice and go back in and have changed. Then at the same time waiting to pick up an online order, clicked through the email instructions telling you to let them know you’re here, nothing was happening for at least 20 minutes finally called the store customer service line, was put on hold without anyone speaking to me repetitively four times Had to go into the store myself wait in line for the customer service person, who when I told her what it happened told me “oh is that still happening? They were supposed to change that Pick up link”. How about put up a sign on the online pick up board that says something about that? There’s a thought. Then I asked her how that explains being put on hold by her four times without any kind of human contact she stopped talking to me. No apology zero communication. They had the nerve to bring out my heavy fertilizer in a cart and not even offered to bring it to my vehicle. I’ll be going to Orleans going forward. This is not excusable. It’s clear that quality customer service is no longer important there.

Extremely Disappointed in ServicennI had a very concerning experience today. While driving, my car suddenly indicated low tire pressure, and I happened to be near Canadian Tire—with my 8-month-old daughter in the car. Naturally, I wanted to make sure it was safe to continue driving.nnI understand it’s a busy season for tires, but this was an emergency situation, and I was hoping for a quick solution, even if it was just checking the tires or adding air. Unfortunately, the service advisor at the desk was extremely rude and told me to go somewhere else instead. This isn’t just about convenience—it’s about safety, especially with my daughter in the vehicle.nnI was very disappointed that no accommodation or assistance was offered. As a customer, I expected better support in a safety-related situation.nnI ended up going to a Ford dealership nearby, and even though they were also busy, they were able to help me immediately and without issue. Canadian Tire really needs to improve their customer service and prioritize safety in situations like this.

I very rarely post reviews but this situation just ticked me off. Maybe you should advertise you close your gardening section for soil, manure, etc. at 5:30pm when you advertise online it’s open until 6:00pm. I got told I had to come back the next day because it was 5:33pm…. I will gladly go out of my way to get it somewhere else.
