Canadian Tire

I’ve always had good experiences with Canadian Tire locations across Ontario, but my recent visit to the Yellowknife branch was extremely disappointing. I went in for a scheduled car service and the person at the service counter, Mr. Mathew, showed no greeting, no politeness, and no helpful attitude.nDespite having an appointment for 11:00 AM, I was told that I should have arrived at 8:00 AM, and that my car could not be taken otherwise. If customers are required to come at 8 AM, then the online booking system should not offer different time slots. I understand that sometimes websites have glitches, but staff should still communicate respectfully and professionally. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.nnThis was the worst customer service experience I’ve had at any Canadian Tire, and it was very disappointing compared to the excellent service I’ve always received at Ontario locations.

I bought winter boots there and the experience started out great but ended weirdly! Found the boots on their in store digital catalogue but they were not on the shelf. A young man helped me . He got them from the warehouse, brought me up front at customer service so I can sit on the bench to try them and when they fit well he instructed me to stand in line at customer service to pay. There was a big blond young girl serving a customer and once she was done she completely ignored me and called over another customer standing in line at the other cash register. At that point I told her I was in line. She asked me if I was buying the boots, I guess she did not pay attention to fact that her associate got the boots from the warehouse and instructed me to pay for them at customer service. She then said that normally I should wait in line at the cash to pay for items. I told her her coworker is the one who told me to pay at customer service as I was trying on the boots in that area. After I paid she apologized to the customer whom she had mistakenly called over . Instead of apologizing to me for ignoring me and being rude to me, she apologizes to the other customer! I must point out that I spent over $100 on my boots with socks but I was treated poorly as a customer. She tarnished my whole experience. Once I got home and researched the boots which was a store brand Outbound boot , I decided to return them as they were not only poor quality but I also can’t support a business where a staff member treats paying customers so poorly! Canadian tire, train your young staff to learn how to respect paying customers. Teach them manners!

The new store has a great selection and appears well-stocked, with plenty of staff visibly working hard to keep the shelves full. However, it can be difficult to find assistance when you have questions about specific products or need help locating something. While the focus on stocking is appreciated, having a few team members available for customer support on the floor would really enhance the overall shopping experience.

I went to return a air freshener i didnt use because I didnt need it. Same day, and due to how light it was they are assuming I used it. It has a locking tab to show if its been used or not. I grabbed a new one to show her and only then she believed me. Can't believe that since a product is light and feels like nothing already means the can cause a scene. Man I just wanted my 20 dollars back for a product I dont need anymore lol
