Camping Grégoire Plage (Lacolle)

MUST READ UNTIL THE END! It is a nice camping place thanks to its lake, pool, basketball court and large playing areas.....Which is very similar to a lot of camping sites nearby. I find our camping sites to close to each other and the place gets easily flooded but that is not the main reason I am explaining my experience. I am not planning to interact with the employees but they have the Worst Customer Service from their employees, very rude, bossy and power tripping bunch of people. You will notice on the way the management respond to the critics, I encourage you as consumers to review their tone of response to the previous one star reviews and you will know what I'm​ talking about. To sum it all up, you can check them out​ but I do not recommend this place to any one who values customer care as experience. I hope that you will not have any problem in your site because if you do, they will not apologize nor talk to you like a human being. They even said that they value their regular campers more than us. Their words and not mine. I hope I can tell more details but it is not worth my time anymore. This is an experience from a consumer destined to those who seeks actual experience.

Nice campsite BUT... 1) Deprived customer service - A notice, in whatever situation, in how many circumstances, should always be given courteously. The Administration should not show rage to customers. They should not intimidate clients that if a situation happens again, they are no longer welcome... All stories have two sides, I’ll stick to mine. 2) Not for camping in tents and not for groups. Camp sites are not wide enough. You will hear your neighbour snore. Our group was not disrespectful; we were just trying to have a little fun after a stressful storm. Whispers when condensed could create a louder noise, only if we knew that the camp sites were that close to each other, we could have chosen another place to camp. 3) The bathroom near our site is not well maintained – clogged toilette, found a poop in the shower, smelly... (They have time to send someone to stay behind our campsite and spy on us on our 2nd night but have no time to clean the bathrooms. How creepy was that to find a man in his golf cart, lights off and just sitting and waiting for us to make some noise??? And then what???) 4) Lifeguard (at the lake) needs more patience with the kids. We understand you just want their safety but with your megaphone on, we all hear your annoyance. You should not show rage to your customers – wait, did I just say that again??? 5) The owner (or whoever replies to our all the reviews) seemed so defensive when getting a 1 star review. (Read the feedbacks yourself) We understand it’s your business but we all have our opinion during our stay and experience at your camp. The review is for others to see.. Unfortunately, ours is not pleasing and we will never come back. And yes, I am with Geh Ewan and others... I have no 5 stars, all I have are the 5 points listed above... #sorrynotsorry

I will not recommend this Camping place to any friend & relatives bec. of their disgusting washrooms & facilities. Rude management & staff to Clients. NEVER AGAIN!NEVER AGAIN! Also if you do not speak French,you will feel right away that you are not welcome to this Camping place.

Greedy guys. Tried to reserve for 2 nights and they called to tell me that they require 3 nights minimum. And this is low season, clearly they have plenty of space. Not to mention that they do not have this tiny detail anywhere on their own website.
