A huge shout out to Sarah and Geoff for doing absolutely nothing to help a struggling single mother to lower my insurance payments for over 10 years. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Do not even consider these awful crooks. I went to a new insurance company today and switched. They saved me well over half the money I've been paying to go to.. Sarah should be fired for how absolutely rude she is on a constant basis. My mother and brother have also switched due to sarahs rudeness. Do not recommend whatsoever.
I would like to acknowledge the amazing work from the GoToInsure team at the Prospect Street location. I have been relying on their services for over 10 years and they have never disappointed. I always get quick response, competitive rates and amazing customer service. Absolutely do not use this service. I would give them 0 stars if I could. A month in of my first time using insurance through them I thought something was wrong so I flagged it and they assured me all my money was coming out and everything was fine. A year later they tell me I owe them the lump sum of a years worth of insurance because the banking info was put in wrong. The only way to pay them is through outdated paper methods, I can't even pay them online. They are not helpful and caused a lot of money stress for me and will not help me.
I have 3 policies with GTI and I could not be more pleased with the timely manner in which I receive help. In 2016, my 2 storey condo had a massive sprinkler flood, which called for an ENTIRE tear out of my home, which uprooted me for 4 months during the winter and through Christmas time. Not only did my broker show up at my house and help remove my personal items that I requested over the phone, he got all of my claim info started and told me to enjoy the remainder of my trip, since there was literally nothing I could do. When I returned, I checked immediately into a hotel and had zero issues dealing with reimbursement, getting very suitable housing and my home was restored perfectly in the end. Since my life insurance and business are also fully insured with GTI, they bring me in every year and discuss my business and lifestyle, rather than simply letting a renewal run into the next year automatically Jeff my particular broker looks for holes in my coverage. While some companies may get you a lower rate, that does not mean it is not at the expense of incomplete coverage, which will ruin you in the event of a major claim. For me, insurance was a hassle and annoyance for years. After going through a major claim, I will never complain, since it literally saves you if you have the correct policy in place that covers all of your bases. A lengthy review, but given the assistance and quality of care I received, well worth the time to do so. Highly recommend giving them a call and hearing how they can help...remember, do not be sold on rates, sign up for coverage and care, that is what you will need them for!
Would like to start by saying I’d give less then one star if possible! Emailed over a week, got a response from David Smith fairly quickly asking for pictures of certain things. So I get him the pictures and then he disappears. Don’t hear from him for a few days so I figure he must be on vacation or something so I call to see if I can get somebody else due to the fact I needed home insurance ASAP. Well after one ring Mr Smith answers and explains he had seen my email but didn’t act on it. He then tells me he’ll send it right away. Well it’s been 3-4 business days since that happened and still haven’t heard back from him even though I have emailed asking for updates. So I decided enough was enough and contacted a different insurance company and took care of it myself, and I even got a lower rate then he quoted me. Would not recommend this group to anybody at all. Terrible service and rates weren’t that good. Stanley Mutual on the other hand are GREAT!!!!
Fraudulent!!! I got two insurance policies for two different vehicles documents in hand and neither were ever filed with the insurance company! I drove my car for over 8 months only to find out I was un-insured the entire time. They didn't give back the money nor take the situation seriously. I am consulting a lawyer.
Had a very bad experience, had stone chips on my windshield called them and asked if my secondary car was covered for glass repairs they told me yes. Went to the glass place fixed it and my claim was denied because it was not covered. I am moving soon and replacing my insurance company.
Over priced and rude. Refuse to add house insurance and car insurance together on the same payment. This company is unorganized and an absolute pain to deal with. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else
