The Calgary Municipal Building is the seat of local government of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building has been the centre for civic administration for the City of Calgary since it opened in 1985 to replace the old Calgary City Hall, which is now used as office space for the Mayor and Councillors.The structure currently houses 2,000 city employees and is open to the public Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00.BackgroundThe City of Calgary held a plebiscite in 1980.
