This place is like a Smitty's only with higher quality food like organic free range eggs and fresher ingredients in a cozier setting. Tried "The Mess" which gives you a good sample of multiple breakfast items including 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, avocado, and cheesy hashbrowns for $15.00. Not bad.
Best eggs bennys in Vancouver, and maybe that I’ve ever had. The staff are next-level kind and hospitable as well. I come here for breakfast for every single special occasion and and I’m never ever disappointed.
Good portions for what you pay for. And to top that off I saw two people came in asking if they could spare a tea or a coffee and the owner totally did!! I super appreciate kind business owners! The food was delicious. The coffee could be better but hey it was satisfying! Thank you for the meal!
The food is amazing. I have ordered several times and always received an exceptional tasting quality meal. The restaurant itself is a much better experience. I highly recommend.
Had to wait 5 minutes for a table to open up, the gentleman that seated and served us was very courteous and kind. Ordered eggs benny for me and my partner. Fantastic.Recommended dishesEggs Benedict
Decent breakfast at a decent price. The atmosphere was a bit confusing : elevator music and news on the tvs. Fine place to food but not a social place. Not to be mistaken with "Cafe Deux Soilel" which is further down the Drive and has a stage for shows, is Vegetarian, and more of a chill vibe
Unfortunately didn't love this breakfast experience. The hashbrowns looked like they would taste so delicious, and I normally love hollandaise sauce. But, both were incredibly bland. Thankfully there was salt and hot sauce provided. Not sure if the mimosa had real orange juice in it, or maybe it was just a little? Loved the bacon though!
We walked in on a Friday morning to a lack-lustre welcome from a man who was wearing chef’s whites but had been sat at one of the tables, apparently doing some admin. The seating is tired and patched with tape and when we asked for a highchair we were told they had none as it’s “a small place” - it’s not, it’s pretty average in size. If the service had been better, we’d have likely stayed and worked around the highchair issue. However, we chose to leave and head to the bagel place over the road. The food might be great, but don’t try and eat here if you a have young kids or b expect a reliably warm welcome! Kid-friendliness: NOT INFANT/TODDLER FRIENDLY
Nice and chilled spot, amazing bennies and hashbrowns, incredible pancakes, and French toasts, recommended.Food: 5/5
Love this small family owned business! I will be sad to see it go as it is an Easy Van Staple. Amazing greens and Crab Cakes Benedict. They also have wild boar meat. Super yummy!Food: 5/5
