Cafe Central (Davis School District Nutrition Services)

This is a gem and a must try if you've never been here. It's mostly sandwiches and specials and it closes early everyday of the week. Basically, it follows the school schedule. The food here is amazing and the people are really sweet.Food: 5/5

Cafe Central has got to be one of my favorite places to visit so far! The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the work they do is incredible. Not only do they offer food out of their cafe they also offer catering and ship their baked goods to other school districts. They have outdoor seating and offer a weekly BBQ.

These ladies ROCK! The line can be out the door and the service, personable, and food quality does not change. Home cooked meals are great! Sandwiches are huge. Rolls are dynamite, along with treats to satisfy.

They have the most delicious peanut butter bars. Every time I host an event I make an order through cafe central. Their dessert bars are my favorite things to order, and we almost never have extras because they are such a hit. This past time I called them on super short notice and they still squeezed my order in for the next day. Thank you!

If this is what the kids in Davis schools are eating, then they're lucky little buggers. When I was a kid a long time ago school lunch was generally worthy of the derision and scorn heaped upon it. This was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. I suspect numerous districts across the state and region would benefit by observing how well-run this one is. Kudos!

School lunch what else needs to be said! Some old items from my childhood, peanut butter bars, the rolls are exactly how I remember them, hot hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes! Good stuff!!Food: 5/5

What a great hidden gem. Lots of good deli food options. Sandwiches and soups are great and they have some really good desserts. Did not know what to expect, but was really happy with the environment and food!

Had a catered meal for 55 people that included sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and desserts. Very reasonable pricing, great customer service and everyone loved the peanut butter bars. No pics because they were all eaten. It turned out so well I order brownies for two other events.

I had no idea this existed before now.... This is amazing! Ordered a bunch of food for a ward activity.... It was slick and the food was delicious. I will remember this again in the future!Food: 5/5

People told me this place was cheap but it really isn’t compared to everything else out there. It’s essentially the same food you at in high school at fast food prices if not a little more. I’ll go here in a pinch but I couldn’t afford to eat here often.
