Holy Smoke BBQ & Grill

The one and only time. While the flavors weren't bad, all of the meat was so dry; It was hard to choke it down! I prefer my bbq to be moist and tender.It was a bit pricey for the portions you get too. I was hoping for something like Smoke N Bones that is closer to me. I guess I'll just have to drive down there instead.

This place was delicious! I've been a handful of times and it's always great. The brisket was lean (I like it this way) and I love getting their friend okra. I've been eating BBQ Sall my life (I grew up in Texas) and this is my favorite place so far in Utah.

Their BBQ is good. So is their service. I ordered the two meat plate (ribs and brisket). The ribs fell right off the bone. But I wasn't expecting chopped brisket. (It was good nevertheless.) I know they serve sliced brisket - - maybe I ordered wrong? Their mac and cheese and fried jalapeños were good. They had no background music playing. I went on a Tuesday evening (7pm). Only a couple customers were there when I arrived. By the time I was finished, I was the only customer. It was awkwardly quiet. Music would've helped the overall mood.

Just got back from a world famous bbq restaurant in Kansas City, Kansas. Meh. It was noisy, not enough seating, the food was average, the service was below average. The food, service and experience at Holy Smoke was by far better. Excellent brisket. Great sauces and great variety. Great people. Our dinner was served quickly and was hot. We spent over an hour there just chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. Lunch can be really busy but attests to the quality of the food and the people.

Holy smoke has some of the best bbq in Utah! Their sauces are amazing. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
