Cafe Burlington

Exceptional chili! I have only been once, because I wanted organic food and this was the best option. Hands down, best chili I have ever had. Cute, family owned little diner style! I had good coffee and service as well. Will def. be returning!

Just finished one of the most disappointing meals I've ever paid for in my life here. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity for my food I was served one of the silliest looking plates of food I've ever seen. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which is one of the most expensive items on the menu. What was brought to me was a massive, red, mostly empty plate. It seriously looked odd. The chicken fried steak was pretty small compared to what I've seen as standard around this area. The eggs were fine, but the side of hash browns was humorously small. Like 5 bites small. It looked so odd on this massive red plate. Additionally, I was supposed to receive toast with my meal, which I didn't receive until after I had finished eating. And calling it toast is beyond a stretch. It looked like they had it done at the same time as my food but forgot about it then proceeded to throw it in the microwave with a half stick of butter on it. It was grossly soggy, not crispy at all, and dripping with butter. Now we get to the taste. The chicken fried steak and gravy had almost no flavor. The gravy tasted like pancake batter. I couldn't even finish it it was so gross. I did however finish my eggs and hash browns and STILL left the restaurant hungry. Which has never happened because normally they serve you a reasonable amount of food. It really saddens me to say this because this restaurant used to be fantastic, but do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Cafe Burlington, the food was very tasty and the service, excellent. They pride themselves on using as many locally grown ingredients as possible and the freshness showed in the finished product. They have ample choices for gluten free eaters as well, which was a pleasant surprise.

Lunch was great. I had the prime rib sandwich and fries. It was great, but a bit more expensive then I am accustomed to paying for lunch. Service was fast and polite.

Amazing good nourishing hearty filling food. I feel as if I have lived up to this moment to eat this omelette. Because the combination of all the local ingredients is divine. Very pleasurable and homely experience
