You would think curry is full of spices, thick and rich but the Thai curry tastes like watered down coloured coconut milk. The rice was a tad undercooked but the fried chicken was nice. The fried chicken wing was well cooked and I really enjoyed the flavour. The rice wrap was full of vermecilli and mostly filler, and the sauce was either mam nem or peanut butter sauce, I honestly can’t tell because of how watered down it was. The spring roll was very good and it is traditionally made. All other dishes were fine, meat tastes and cooked similar to all other Vietnamese restaurants. Overall, it’s a typical Vietnamese restaurant trying too hard experimenting with other cuisines. This review isn’t considering their service because this is takeout.
Best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam that I have ever had. Vietnamese is my favorite and since we are visiting from NYC we decided to give the top rated Vietnamese spot in Montréal a try and it was worth it!!! Top spot for a reason. I thought NYC had the best Vietnamese but hands down Bistro CÔ ÚT is the best Vietnamese restaurant I have eaten at. We are blown away from the Spring and Imperial rolls to the classic Pho & Duck Curry. All so yummy and delicious! I would definitely come back for more and recommend to all to try!!
The best Vietnamese food we’ve ever had. Period! We are from NYC. We thought we had the best there but we were wrong lol. Glad that we chose this place to dine on our last night of visit. The pho, the rice with duck, the springs are just amazing! Service is great! Nice environment! Recommend !!
What a WONDERFUL place, people and food! It was a rainy day and we wanted soup for the soul. We got the PHO options with chicken. Their menu is nice and not complicated. Price is acceptable and environment 5/5. We wanted to get out of the usual chaos that is Chinatown or other pho places. This one is actually a good discovery and the food was delicious! Totally we will repeat. Recommendation cal in advance just to check that they have spots available cause on their website you have to reserve! Lovely we will come back
Came twice and the service is amazing. Same goes to the food, they are served in large portions very worth trying. I think you might need to reserve your seat before dining in though unsure. Overall great experience and would definitely come again.
This is a hidden gem. Really makes you feel like you are eating in a little corner street in Vietnam. The food is authentic trust me, I’m Viet but doesn’t taste like the other usual place. It feels like you travelled to a small city in Vietnam and the taste is adapted to that specific village which is a good thing when you crave Vietnamese but want a bit of a change. The decor and service is impeccable.
The imperial rolls in this Vietnamese restaurant were soooo good !! They also put a lot of effort into decorating every dish creatively. The mussels here were big and tasty. The fried onion on the top went well with fish sauce and was just AMAZING ! I’ve never tasted this kind of combination before. My friend from Vietnam said they actually used this kind of sauce a lot. It’s not sweet and sour sauce if you are wondering now. However, pho is just on average. It’s so unfortunate that I didn’t try your speciality at that day since kitchen didn’t provide at that time. I’ll give four stars for this experience, leaving one star for next time when I try their special pho. It’s nice to discover this restaurant in le pleteau neighborhood
Very good food, fr fr. Favourites were the spring rolls, which come in a pretty basket and the Tom Yum, which was fresh and flavourful. Cocktails were also great.Recommended dishesImperial Rolls, Tom Yum Soup Noodles
Seems like Really authentic Vietnamese food but I’ve never been to Vietnam so I’m not really sure what to expect they also had a few thai items on the menu. The food was really good very fresh I would definitely go back
Excellent service, delicious dishes in a humble and nicely decorated restaurant. The beef pho is a must-try, very aromatic and authentic flavours. A true gem!
