We had very good food. I had their pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed it. Bun was toasted, so the added crunch was a pleasant contrast. The view of the lake was hindered only for a short cloud burst.

This is a beautiful facility. I was just married on the property and it helped to make the day so much more memorable. Thank you!

My wife and I were in town this weekend for a wedding, where the ceremony and reception were held at Buzz Lakeside Inn. Upon arriving, our room, the now infamous 404 did not have heat. The first night, we alerted the staff and were assured Buzz would take care of it. Later that night, we were told he looked at it and it was a timing issue…fast forward to 11 p.m. and still no heat – the room was at a cool 55 degrees. To appease us, one of the staff offered us a bottle of wine and a comforter. We made it through the night and again, expressed to the staff the heat did not work the next morning. We were told they would again check, and would even search for space heaters, but none were found. Luckily, we knew the individuals in 403 and they agreed to share their heat by opening the adjoining door. I expressed my frustration the next morning to a member of the staff, Amanda, who still felt bad for us and agreed to give us a credit for one of the nights – we would just need to explain this to the main manager. My wife and I explained this to the manager, in which her response was “Buzz was only going to credit you $50, but fine, whatever…” I was annoyed by the response, but the credit was acknowledged. Then when I was rung up, the girl at the register informed us “we still have to charge you the tax on the room.” I explained this doesn’t make any sense, and requested we get the tax refunded as well (if you were to return a flashlight to Target, would they keep the tax!?!) This is where I became upset and explained that I was going to leave the review. The girl responded “ I’m just doing what I was told.” Fully fed up, I caved and paid tax, on a room, in which I was provided a refund. Thus, the reason for the review you are reading. Had we been honestly told the heater was broken, we would have gladly purchased a space heater – but we were given a runaround. I am certain the other individuals staying for the wedding did not experience our issues, but I wanted to ensure I left a detailed of our stay – and the reason for one star. Great location, decent food, staff need some training on customer service.
