I have a 20 year old Rowenta Iron. I paid just over 100 USD for it back then. I could have just bought a new iron but we all know they don’t make anything the way they used to do I sought out a repair. Spoke to Craig who was super helpful. I sent it in by Purolator since I live in Burlington. They had it fixed in two weeks, just needed a cord for 59 bucks and he returned it to me by Canada Post and it arrived today! While I’m not excited the cord is black would have preferred white or grey I am just so thrilled to have the old girl back and just finished my ironing! Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! Thanks Craig and team!!
I brought in an old expresso machine which was way beyond repair. Butler's spent the time to take the machine apart and found the problem but said it was in bad shape in several other ways as well, and didn't recommend sinking money into the repair. They wouldn't even accept a tip for their time. There's a reason everyone in my neighbourhood facebook group recommended Butler's.
My vacuum had a belt issue, they fixed it Friendly great service. Also sell high quality and sometimes vintage mixers, toasters and blenders. I had purchased a toaster back in 2008 and it still works perfectly! Try buying a new one today from the big box stores, you would e lucky if you get two years. Highly Recommend!
3 years ago I got my portable A/C unit missing hose and it went missing last month I returned to get another one which is not very common I gave the wrong measurement to Craig who was very helpful and after double checking the measurements was able to get the right item He even opened the door on Thursday to provide it They are closed that day. The room is now very cool for the next renter
I needed a new coupler for my KitchenAid blender and it was not a problem. Friendly, and straightforward service. Very happy that I can extend the life of stuff because of a place like this!
Brought in a Kenwood stand mixer with a broken on-off switch. Lucky for me no parts from the vendor we're required for the fix. About 2.5 weeks after drop off the mixer was repaired, works flawlessly, and only cost $50. Fantastic work and will be back if repairs are needed again.
Always helpful, very reasonable prices, excellent advice. We've been going there for 25 yrs and always satisfied. Run by a family.
Took my 10 year old beloved super automatic Krups Espreseria to Buttler's after is was making sad little noises for a couple of weeks then stopped working completely. So lucky that we have the ONLY authorized repair shop in Canada right here in Toronto. They, coincidentally, had someone else’s that just have the same problem so they quoted me $250 but it ended up being 1/2 that when I went to pick it up. I have now picked it up and it’s working perfectly. So so happy it’s home and happy to get rid of the pod machine. I dropped it off last fall and learned that the parts had to come from France so I full well knew it was going to be a LONG time with all the shut downs over there, not to mention shipping time. I can’t believe all the complaints about how long repairs are taking considering the times we are in and given how BUSY they are in the shop. I had an honest discussion with them about whether it was worth the repair effort or if I should just buy a new super automatic - min $1000. They said my machine was a great one, that they’ve done the repair before and had people get years of life out it, so I decided to go for it. Thank you to the Butler team!!!
I visited my first time at this store this past Monday. Craig served me in the store. I purchased a replacement hose for my Delonghi Air Conditioner/Humidifier. The service was quick. One thing to note is that this is not a store you can walk into. When you get past the front door and inside, there is a counter where you are served, just like when you go into the dry cleaners. Luckily for me there was no lineup so I was served pretty quick. One downfall is that the store’s website does not tell you what stock they have. You have to call them directly to inquire.
Awful experience resulting in a broken appliance worth $300. I brought my humidifier for repair and right away was told that the wait is at least a month and was not given a cost estimate. The person at the store was rude. Same when I called to ask for updates. The humidifier had motor that needed some cleaning. They eventually returned the humidifier with improved motor but they broke the humidifier cover broken plastic resulting from forced opening. My husband wrote a complaint and they attempted to “fix it” - basically glued something but nothing to address the damage. They returned the humidifier missing key parts - without these parts it cannot work. It’s basically garbage now. Awful company, awful experience, beware.
