Large selection but sadly extremely overpriced that it is such a rip off. $24 dollars for a box of teabags that cost €2 back home. $9 for cordials and sauces when you can get them in other shops for half the price. There are several other stores that do imported products for way less than here so would go for them or have family send over, way cheaper, don’t let yourself be ripped off by a store that is just completely taking advantage of imported prices and it’s customers.
This place is simply amazing! I found all the candies I used to have as a child. They have imported chocolates and groceries from UK. They even got some Scottish and Australian goods Vegemite, Irn-Bru. The vibes are the store are really cool too, you should definitely give it a visit if you’re walking down Bloor-Yonge!
The store is well organized with jelly beans, crisps, biscuits, chocolate bars from the British isles. You can purchase some items by weight. The attendant is friendly and helpful. A nice place to have if you are craving some British sweets!
What's not to love about this place? This gem of a candy shop is an absolute paradise for candy-lovers of all ages! Bulk Mine has an impressive selection of rare and fun sweets. Cute gift ideas and unique candies that are sure to spark curiosity. I was excited to see candies that I haven't seen since my childhood. It was almost surreal...like walking into a candy time capsule The prices are actually REALLY low especially considering the prime location and beautifully merchandised interior. I would suggest this place to anyone who has a sweet tooth or if you're looking for a cute little gift for a friend who does. Fun little sweet shop that is sure to brighten everyone's day! Definitely worth stopping in :
This is an incredible store with so many goodies, it's amazing they survived going through Covid. I'd never had British chocolate until I went in here and what a difference. This was my 1st time being in a British import store. The manager/owner ? is dedicated to the store and community. The music is great too.
The VERY fact they have Yorkie purple wrapper and Boost, I’m giving them 5 stars. Don’t care much about all the other amazing variety of candies they have. I wish it was a tad cheaper in price, but it’s European chocolate I suppose.
Very bad online store, ordered a package almost 3 months ago and still havent gotten it no updates and when I try to follow up with the order the email doesnt work horrible experience.
Such an awesome place. Literally candy from all around the world that you won’t find anywhere else.
I can't believe the experience I just had here. I've been coming here for 10 years. Despite the sparse selection, the stale bulk candy and the expired goods, I came here because I loved the idea of an independent candy store. I will never again enter this business. I spent over $50 on a few items. The owner gave me an itemized receipt. As I was leaving the store, I saw that I was charged for the jumbo version of two items I purchased. I went back to the owner and respectfully showed him the receipt and the items. He was incredibly defensive, scanned the item and showed me the item was marked at the price it should be, but still showed as 'jumbo.' I told him that wasn't a jumbo product. He said it was. I walked over and grabbed the jumbo product - showed him the clearly marked 'jumbo' and 'not jumbo'. He was silent. I asked him to scan the jumbo item so I could see I was not being charged for a jumbo and it truly was a system error. He scanned it and nothing was showing up. I'm not entirely sure on this point - but I feel like he was trying to enter a higher price for the jumbo as I stood there so he could justify the incorrect price. I asked for either a refund or to be given the jumbo item since that's what I was being charged for. I don't care if there's an error in your system. Fix it - it's not my problem. The real problem was how this was dealt. The owner wouldn't let me get two words in. He spoke over me for a solid 5 minutes. I kept asking if I could be given the courtesy of explaining what was wrong since he clearly wasn't understanding. I said 'I've been shopping here for ten years. Can you please just let me explain what the problem is without talking over me?" And he said "I don't care. This store's been open for 25 years. It doesn't need you." I was floored. Just a verbal barrage of condescension and abuse. It's a shame. Ten years of patronage out the drain. It's funny that he wrote a review on here asking patrons to give the store another chance. After that display, I'm making it my mission to spread the word on how you shouldn't. The service was the worst I've ever experienced in my life. Half the items I purchased are literally expired. Everything is insanely marked up $10 for a 180g chocolate bar, $3.29 for a regular sized push pop that's not imported. You can also find most everything elsewhere. Bulk barn has a great selection of Jelly Belly's and imported chocolate. For a fraction of the price. I usually urge to shop independent whenever possible but Amir is the rudest person I've ever encountered and your dollars are better spent elsewhere. Make sure you check your receipts before leaving.
