Buffalo Lake County Campground

We really enjoyed our time here. It is beautifully rustice and just what we needed; talk about watching the trials and tribulations of life just seep away as the kids beaming smiles got bigger and bigger. Read a couple of reviews about the owners being unfriendly....... what utter toss that is. They are the loveliest people on earth. In honestly the only negative reviews were written by a group of cyclists..... and let's be honest even the nicest people in the world have a license to dislike cyclists...... It's not the Four Seasons and that is what makes it so beautifully relaxing. We utterly loved it and will be back for sure. Made by the silence, beauty, aninals and the effort the lovely welcoming people put into their home. The home they welcome you into.

Great querky campsite. Don't expect luxury facilities and no EHU, but perfectly adequate. Great farm to explore and meet bison, elk, guinea fowl, goats, chickens and eagle owls. Maybe a native American Indian too!

Went camping here for 2 nights and really enjoyed. We had a great pitch at the top of a field overlooking a lake. The guys here running the place are friendly and helpful. They have a little shop where you can buy meats, eggs and a few other things. The bison and elk sausages are good! The facilities are good, hot shower, toilets and washing up area. They have a great walk around the grounds which is lovely. You can see the Bison and Elk just doing their thing. The woodland walk is beautiful too. We all really enjoyed our weekend here. Would come and stay again.

We were blessed with beautiful weather for a week which made this a fantastic place to holiday. All very simple and back to basics but that's how I like it. Lots of variety of sites with loads of space for everyone. Had great camp fires every night on the fire pits which they provide. Our kids loved exploring the woods or the farm animals and the owners were very laid back about everything allowing then to pretty much go where they liked. The small toilet/shower block did the job and was well stocked even if it was pretty rustic and exposed to the elements. There were a lot of ticks in the grass for the time of year, but it's to be expected with the pond and animals. We'd love to go back again.

Thanks so much for our lovely stay with you in the studio! Such a beautiful, peaceful setting with wonderful walks so see the incredible animals. Mattress was so comfy! Large shower area looks/feels like a spa. Delicious homemade marmalade with bread milk and butter was complementary. We have also visited for the woodland camping, its a perfect pocket of wood to yourself for any occasion. Will be back!

We had a great time camping at bush farm. A perfect spot for families with the added bonus of incredible wildlife. I love that every pitch has a fire pit and lots of space. We will return.

Stayed hear for a week, in the lovely annex cottage. Lovely farm with many birds and animals. Looking forward to visiting again.

Perfect idyllic place to camp. If you’ve ever wanted to emulate the North American style woodland camping this is the place for you. Secluded pitches surrounded by trees with a gap in the canopy above you so you can see the stars at night. Because there is no light pollution you can see more than you’ll every see normally! There is a fire pit on each pitch as well as a picnic bench. There are toilet facilities and showers although I would rinse the shower out before using because spiders. The farm shop sells bison meat and elk meat. I bought bison burgers which are sooo tasty and apparently almost 90% less fat than beef! Pepe the lady who runs the site is really kind and welcoming and same with her husband. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be going back

Absolutely loved our overnight stay here. Perfect for a weekend getaway in the van. April the donkeys is great company but watch she doesn't eat your book very apt considering the book she attempted to chomp was about trail running with donkeys . Lovely little fire pits to use, with wood you can buy for £6. Picturesque and idyllic setting. We will definitely be back.

Lovely campsite in the woods. A real back to basic campsite in terms of facilities but lovely and quiet and nice to have own little clearing and not just be in a large field with hundreds of other tents. Would definitely go back. Toilets are shower is really basic but ok.
