I became sold on the place a couple of years ago when I went to a number of places to get a key cut and this gentleman knew what the problem was and cut me a perfect key. I have been getting my keys cut there ever since. I do wish this business took debit or credit cards but the fact is if you want a key cut that always works this is the place to do it. You have to be careful to call ahead in case the owner is on a service call.Service: Building key copying
I needed a motorcycle key cut, and when I asked for recommendations everyone suggested Burkes. I gave them a call this morning and left a message on the machine asking them to give me a call back to let me know when they would be in the shop. Received a call back quickly, took a run over there, 3 minutes and $1.15 later I had a perfect copy of my bike key. I showed up with my own blank in hand. Excellent service - would definitely recommend!
Other than the random hours while on calls, this used to be the place to go for anything key/lock related. However, in the past 6 months, he's ruined 2 blank car keys and couldn't make an accurate copy of a simple entry lock key. The nearby hardware store cut it just fine.
Excellent locksmith. Helped me with a very old lock that probably dates to the 1930's. Just call ahead as not always in the shop ... does field work too. Very experienced.
Needed a special lock for a file cabinet. Searched half a dozen places and finally found what I needed here. Very friendly owner
Helpful, better to call ahead they are out on service calls during business hours. They did not have what I needed but directed to a source which I would never have found.
Amazing service. He even cut us keys for free.
