Story

Brownell Library features up-to-date and diverse collections, as well as vibrant programming for all ages. The library serves the residents of Essex Junction and extends service to many communities through the HomeCard network.

Mission

The Brownell Library is a municipal library that provides a current and diverse collection for all ages in a welcoming and comfortable environment where people come first. The staff's mission is to help patrons utilize the library's resources and to provide opportunities for community enrichment and cultural awareness.

This is a fantastic medium-sized library. I was able to find a nice quiet nook to work on my laptop in and was not bothered by the background noise. The parking lot is somewhat small, and while I had no trouble finding a space I can easily imagine the parking lot filling up later in the afternoon or on busy days.

Like the Tardis, this place is bigger on the inside. I'm amazed as how many books they have. The staff is always courteous, and there are a variety of special-interest activities held periodically.

I attended a meet up at the Brownell Library in the community room. The room is spacious and has plenty of tables and chairs available for setting up.

Every time I go to this hometown library , I find the librarians and all the staff very friendly and professional. Also I enjoy the quite and disciplined environment in this library.
