British Style Fish and Chips

Best fish in chips in Oshawa from my experience, if you order takeout there's a 50% chance you'll be missing half of what you've ordered but I continue to order because it's really good halibut. I'd suggest picking it up yourself as the service they use can be hit and miss.

This place is terrible, the fries all 20 that I got spread out across the bottom of the box were so grease soaked they could not be eaten. The fish was greasy as well. I would not feed this food to my cat. The price doubled from the online price to when we picked up our order. I called to ask why, and was told by a man who either owns this place or is just puppet working there, that they can charge whatever they and if didn't like it to not bother coming back. I guess this person must live under a rock as the best or worst way to promote something is by word of mouth. I would just like finish by saying I would NOT recommend this place to anyone even if your starving and it is the only place you see open ...... KEEP LOOKING

Somewhat disappointed in our order last night. We phoned in and ordered 2x2 piece haddock and chips and 1x1 piece haddock. My husband had to repeat the order several times. When he got it home we had 3x1 piece haddock and chips. If the person taking the phone order cannot speak and understand English very well then best not have them take the order.

If I could give it a lower star rating I would. The cashier was a lovely woman but the manager was a complete dick. I was left waiting for my food for AN HOUR AND FOURTY FIVE MINUTES. Then when I had the nerve to ask when it would be ready the manager started laying into me. Not even sure what HE was mad about but I will never EVER go their again. Shameful service.

Halibut is good. Fries are always plentiful. Staff is good. Owner can be a jerk and is very moodie. Take out is done traditional style all wrapped in paper..

update: PERMANENTLY CLOSED Original Review: Though there are several fish and chip restaurants in the area, we've had consistently good food and service from the Oshawa British Style Fish and Chips and is preferable than the other restaurants.

One ladies behind counter was quiet and a bit rude to me yesterday. I felt, for the money the dinner orders are over priced for what get. WAY TOO MUCH FRIES. There's enough FRIES in one order to feed my three kids! More fish and less FRIES please.

Amazing fish and chips. Super fresh and delicious. Ordered takeout and they made my fish and chips right in front of me. Small and friendly dining area. Good prices!

We placed an order for delivery and waited over an hour for delivery. When we called to follow up they had no information on the estimated time of delivery, or if the order had even been processed. After waiting an hour for the delivery we called to cancel the order only to be told that the delivery guy left 10 minutes ago to deliver the order. Also they did not have gravy, did not alert us to the fact that they were not sending the gravy until the delivery guy showed up at the door. Also we paid for 2 coleslaw, but they only sent one. When we called to complain again, they did not pick up.Completely disappointed!!

The best halibut and chips i have ever had huge piece of fish made fresh to order will definately return
