About

"To assist the family by providing a Christ-centered, Bible-based education that inspires each student to pursue excellence in moral character, spiritual growth, academics, fine arts, physical fitness and service to others."

Story

British Columbia Christian Academy is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 Interdenominational private Christian school in the Greater Vancouver area drawing students from many different churches from the Tri-Cities area and throughout the Lower Mainland.

We believe that BC Christian Academy is one of the best private schools Vancouver has to offer as students are taught by an all-Christian, B.C. certified teaching staff who are committed to guiding students to increasingly view themselves and all of life through a Biblical worldview.

BC Christian Academy is certified as a Group 1 school by the Ministry of Education, Independent Schools Branch. Our students receive a strong academic program that prepares them well for University or College. BCCA has close to 100% graduation rate, with more than 90% of our students going on to post secondary education. We understand that you have a variety of choices for private schools in Vancouver and in BC, as well as Christian schools in Vancouver. We welcome you to investigate BCCA further to see how we can be of value to you. Learn why our past students and current students and their families are glad they chose to be part of our family.

Don't be fooled by these so-called Christians. They discriminate against children with physical needs. They even had the audacity to suggest holding children back in school without so much as an phone call or interview. They presume that any child with physical challenges must be autistic. They clearly lack the education and competency to provide ethical practice around assessing child development or for that matter providing a Christ-like approach to working with the vulnerable. Also, the kids don't look happy...Unless they're teacher's pet. How sad is it that for a child with 'special needs' to be discriminated against by Christians only to be accepted and embraced by public school. Don't waist your time and money...
There are many better schools to send your children. Only a few teachers here are unproblematic and unbiased in their favouritism towards students. If you value educational institutions that will teach your children life skills and how to manage after highschool, this is not the school to opt for. However, if you want a school that will shelter your kids from learning life skills and how to cope with stressful events in life, perhaps this is an ideal school for you.
Best school my teachers are soooooo nice
overall a very traumatic experience that i’m still dealing with to this day. if i could give it 0 stars i would - horrible teachers & stuck up peers. i wouldn’t suggest sending your children here unless you want them to have life long trauma too. the bullying by not only peers but staff as well - along with the CLEAR favouritism and misogyny is disgusting. they will claim to be accepting and unbiased, but only on their terms. the elementary school isn’t as bad, but when you get to the high school everything goes downhill. teachers already have favourites and there’s very set cliques. don’t send your kids here
My two children attend BCCA Kids Club, and I'd recommend it to anyone. They do it like a school does - It provides report cards, delivers academic curriculum among others, has meetings about students' needs, and incorporates biblical teaching. The only difference with other private childcare places is that I need to prepare the children's lunch/snacks, but for the quality of education at such an affordable fee, it is a fantastic place to learn. Many times I was impressed with the teachers how attentive they are to my child's needs as a learner.
Great place, lots of selection, reasonable prices and tasty cinnamon buns. Good quality great prices and too many options, very kind staff. Very reasonable priced products, though some are less durable but it's ok for the price you pay. They have a large collection of almost everything that you want for your home. And their customer service is excellent, and so is their return policy. Nice place has yummy food great selection on the menu and great sides. How can you not appreciate Ikea ? We wanted a particular bed that wasn’t in stock and they texted me when a few arrived. We wanted to pay for it online and pick it up but we couldn’t, so I called and they answered right away. The friendly lady explained that because there were only four units, they could not guarantee that our order would go through because somebody might already be in the store picking the items up to purchase as we speak. Sure enough when we got to the Richmond store and as we were loading our cart with the second last bed, a young man came to pick up the last one. Now that’s customer service. Over the years we have had nothing but very good experiences with Ikea. Their products are getting better and better all the time. Sorry but I’m not a big fan of their meat balls but they have good and well priced packages of coffee.
My two grandchildren attend BCCA and love the school. I was privileged to attend this year's Grandparents Day and witnessed first hand God's love being poured into their lives by wonderful loving and nurturing teachers, staff and parent volunteers. I was particularly impressed by how connected teachers and students were and how courteous and respectful everyone at the school was to one another. It is obvious that BCCA is a blessing to all who study or work there.
I sent my son here for 1 year and it was the worst year of his life. Every day, he would come home and complain that there was no cafeteria, no decent teachers, and no cleanliness. There were balls of sand flowing through the classrooms and he even had to go to the washroom because of sand getting into his eyes. There were water fountains; however, the water tasted contaminated and dry. The principal was ungodly lazy and you could tell he struck this position out of pure luck. The campus was stupidly small for the large age gap of this grade K-12 academy. Overall, do not send your kid here, and if you do, kindly ask them if they have any complaints with the school. Thank You and Have a Nice Day, Unhappy Guardian
From the first moment my child walked into this school, she felt respected, cared for, loved and at peace. She could finally let down her guard and be everything god intended for her to be. The teachers go out of their way to connect with the students and have created a safe, supportive school. My child now feels God's love every day she goes to school and is so thankful her journey, although difficult at times, has led her to BCCA. She can't imagine being anywhere else and although she wishes she began BCCA right in kindergarten, she has learned to trust God's timing. Thank you BCCA!
Our kids love it at the school. We have been most impressed by the outstanding teachers, who have gone above and beyond in their work. You can tell that it is a calling for them.
