Story

Friendly neighbourhood salon that has been open since 1955, when the plaza opened. In 1999 Pauline Houlihan became the owner of this unique salon. Britannia Hair Company is favoured by many for its easy elegance and emphasis on each individual customer .We like to listen – really listen – to our clients and then create a special look for them. If you are interested in visiting us then we invite you to book an appointment by phone for a guaranteed consultation with one of our experienced stylists. Having my hair done by Tammy is not just a cut and colour, it's a catch up, chin wag, offload, distress and all round relaxing time! She is a master at what she does and makes clients feel at home and totally confident in her hands. She never fails to make my awkward hair look amazing and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I've been going to Tammy for just over 3 years now and she is by far the best hairdresser I have ever used. I struggled to find a hairdresser who knew what I wanted but went to Tammy after a recommendation from my friend. I'd just had my little boy and felt like I needed a refresh and Tammy definitely did that. She always knows exactly what I want and I've never been disappointed, hence why we're 3 years down the line and she's the only hairdresser I'll go to. She's always winning awards and attending competitions, so she's constantly up to date with the latest trends
Just wow! Tammy is so fantastic because she listens to what you are asking for and advises the best way to look after your hair. She will talk about what you expect and what kind of time you have to style your hair yourself during your normal routine. She even messaged me a few days after a restyle, to double check I was still happy after I'd washed and dried it myself. Tammy doesn't get 'scissor happy' or give you a hair style that you can't maintain. She is a winner of lots of awards and accolades, and is very competent and friendly. There is no one else I would trust to do my hair.
I hadn't been to a hairdresser for 4-5 years so my hair was down my back. I needed a change but didn't know who to go to. Tammy popped up on my fb page so i checked out her page and noticed a couple of people I know who go to her so I thought I would too. I was a little nervous but she put at ease as she has a lovely nature and is easy to talk to. She listened to what I hated about my hair and to what I was looking for, I even had a picture of the style I was after. She talked me through what she would do and then got started. By the time Tammy was done I felt and looked like a new person, I really could not have been happier with my new shorter style.
Best hairdresser i have been to by far! Tammy has excellent knowledge about hair. Wouldnt go anywere else.
Tammy cut my hair for two years, it was the best cut I've ever had and now I've moved to London and I'm sad!!! she is the best xxx
