Bridgeland-Riverside is an inner-city community located on the north side of the Bow River just northeast of downtown Calgary, Alberta.
This is the official page of the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association.
The community boundaries are defined by a commercial development along Edmonton Trail NE on its western edge, a 20 meter escarpment to the north, Tom Campbell's Hill to the east and the Bow River and Memorial Drive NE to the south.
The BRCA’s mission is to foster the vision for Bridgeland-Riverside by serving and engaging residents and other stakeholders of our community through:
• Facilitating the development and delivery of recreational and social programs
• Connecting the community with information and opportunities
• Engaging with the community to support healthy commerce
• Stewarding the land and facilities under the society’s care and making them optimally accessible to the community
• Coordinating and communicating urban planning issues for the future development of Bridgeland-Riverside, preserving its values, while supporting its evolution.
Vision
The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association facilitates involvement and opportunities that attract, connect and sustain a diverse network of people and businesses to improve our collective quality of life.
The BRCA Community Centre, located at 917 Centre Ave. NE, Calgary, Alberta, consists of a Lower Hall that can be partitioned into rooms, and an upstairs Lantern Room at Centre Street level. Practically, the full hall capacity is between 80 and 110 people depending on the configuration. There is plenty of room for outdoor events such as picnics and ceremonies.
Currently, the Hall rents to special events, recurring programs, and community events (at various levels of discount). All revenues go to the BRCA and these are applied to staff and maintenance expenses. If you would like to rent the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Centre, please email [email protected] or phone 403-263-5755.
