Wow.. had a terrible experience! I went the week before with my boyfriend and we had a great time, but when we went again this Friday, it was terrible. Our friends arrived ten minutes earlier and put their name down and were told fifteen minutes before a table would be ready. When my boyfriend and I arrived five minutes later, we met them at their seats at the bar and ordered a few beers. Less than one minute after ordering our drinks, the barista said we had to MOVE because two older men wanted to sit in the corner and order pizza... um...???? we didn’t say anything, just left and went back to the main waiting area. After a few minutes, a few tables opened up so we just ignored the host, Rob, and sat at the bar in the dining room until FINALLY being taken to a real table. The whole incident took well over an hour before we even ordered our food!
I normally do not write negative reviews, but this was absurd. I have never been told to leave the bar before because of not ordering food!! The bar is a BAR - you order drinks, not food. And you are certainly never told to leave when everyone in your party HAS A DRINK or has ordered a drink! When we mentioned the incident to the manager, he said the woman just got engaged and that’s why she let two men sit at the bar instead of four young adults (all attractive and in our late 20’s). I don’t know how that logic made any sense to the host (Rob), but we decided not to say anything else and simply waited for the table. When we finally got seated, they sat us IN THE BAR AT THE HIGH TOP TABLE!
I’m not sure what the issue was with reservations and management, but I would absolutely not recommend eating at this restaurant. The food was good, but nothing like tarry lodge for a real pizza/pasta experience. I wanted to originally recommend this place, but don’t waste your time. It was extremely disorganized and the host was an embarrassment. He just stood there with a blank look on his face the entire time and we had to continuously bother the waiter to get our table... I assumed the host was higher up the first time I went there, but clearly not because he just acted like a frazzled fool and nobody has time for that.
In short, skip this restaurant and go across the street or to Tarry Lodge.

One of our favorite places in Fairfield. We always have a great time here. The food is well worth the money!

The atmosphere was fine (though too loud), the servers were fine, but the food was lousy. We had a Contadina pizza. The toppings were blah. The crust was just swimming in juice, sopping wet, which I believe is the worst adjective that can be applied to pizza crust. The dessert was zeppole which would have been a great thing (though far overpriced for its contents), were it not for the fact that the inside of each piece was half-cooked dough. We definitely will not be going back there.

This place is the best pizza restaurant in Fairfield. Love it. A bit pricey but so good and always have left overs. Love the burrata bar and the the bread budding is to die for (and I don't usually like bread pudding). Highly recommend. Please keep the sweet potato specialty on the menu as this was the best pizza I've had in a very long time.

Excellent pizza and paninis. Slow service very busy place. Make sure you have some patience when going.
