Stopped here on a road trip across the northwest and this place was great. The ambience was very cafe messy cabin like. The drinks and food are tasty and worth the wait. There is plenty of seating and the staff is friendly. So, if you are passing through, make sure to stop by and you won’t be let down. I highly recommend the mocha pecan pie!
Best coffee I've had in a long time. The two gals working were great. The blueberry coffee was delicious and not too sweet. I will go back next time we are in Missoula. Looking forward to trying a piece of their pie.
The peach pie is one of the most delicious deserts I’ve ever had. New birthday tradition. Weighed in at 8.6 lbs!
I really enjoyed my visit here. Top shelf selection of drinks with some great flavor options. They made me a killer oat milk latte with oat milk. I fell in love with their breakfast sandwiches and quiche during my visit; both are a great way to start the morning. On top of that the interior of the building is gorgeous and quite spacious.
Fun, old west saloon style atmosphere. The self-serve water was super appreciated on the hot summer day. Their bakery case looked incredible.
Love the pies and the location. Great place to meet people for coffee and dessert since there is a lot of seating. It's a big place. If you love berry or cherry pie, you must try the homemade pie here. I never visit Missoula without getting pie here.
The coffee is made well and the atmosphere is great. The wifi can be spotty though but there is always ample seating. Great place to get some work done.
I enjoy coming here for coffee while I am at work or waiting for someone! The baristas are great to chat with, and the day old bran muffins are my favorite! Thank you for the amazing coffee!
The Break is a must-visit in Missoula. The coffee is reliably good and the pastries made in house are even better. I recommend Rick's Fruit Danish or the Strawberry Rhubarb pie. For students, artists, and remote employees, the massive amount of tables ensures there's usually a place to stay for a while. There's free wifi and water, which is really nice. The bathrooms are usually clean. The lighting is kept dim, with table lamps, and the bright windows in the front, and the furniture is all old wood, so it feels like a really worn-in, old-timey tavern inside. My only wish is that there were couches, since, the chairs are uncomfortable after a while.
Coffee wasnt great. Pie wasn't good. Friend with me couldn't eat due to no gluten-free options. Prices have gone way up since last visit. Also, the floors haven't been mopped in years - I dropped a damp napkin and it was black when I picked it up. Only thing going for the place is the historical building vibe/aesthetic and decent background music.
