Border Burrito

Muchos Bueno A dope little El Cantina serving low-fare and minimal fuss vegan Mexican options. Overall pretty good and happy with the vegan burrito, not too stodgy and filled with delicious wholesome ingredients distributed well and toasted to perfection. I really recommend slapping some Refried Beans in there for a lethal tasty combo. I was quite annoyed at the lacking attention to detail. I ordered via UberEats and my friend to have vegan cheese should be included, with them individually labeled. It seems that it was completely ignored. They do offer hot sauce, I chose to use my own as I think a buck, fifty is a steep addition, but some jalapeños which are a staple would really not go a miss. Support local businesses!

Wow. At first bite I was blown away at how tasty my quesa taco is. We also got the beef quesadilla and it was equally delicious. Really appreciate the portion size and how thick both items were. It was a 20min drive home before we ate and I don’t think it lost any of its quality. The self order kiosk was great - easy to use and no fuss. Music was banging. I kind of appreciate how it doesn’t prompt you for a tip unlike all the other self serve places in Vancouver. Definitely our new favourite Mexican spot. My only complaint was that I wish the cilantro and onion was inside the tacos, Im sure I can request for that next time. Already looking forward to returning!

Stop here for the 2nd time in a week just recently I ordered the Chicken quesadilla! That was awesome the green sauce is just right and with the other sauces it's just amazing good price $$ and very filling. Then I had Taco Tuesday, 2 of each chicken and beef tacos, super tasty and filling. Recommended.

Even though I scheduled my order, they sent it earlier, so the food was cold when I had it. Frozen cheese is not a good way to have quesadillas. And also since I order only cheese quesadillas I was hoping to see more cheese. Disappointed a little.

I had the beef birria burrito and I had a couple comments about the experience. I have a Latin background so I when I hear about local Mexican food, I am always open to try it. Pros speed of service - received order in 5 minutes portion size is huge competitive price $11 beef was juicy Cons taste of burrito was underwhelming. Not seasoned enough. proportion of meat to other ingredients, is there just thing as too much meat? It just tasted like tortilla and meat, not enough rice or “salsa” in it. I think I prefer chipotle instead and I don’t even like chipotle. I regret getting the burrito and wish I ordered the tacos or quesadilla instead. I could tell the beef had potential to be great in other dishes.

Holy guacamole! This place is newly opened and perfectly named as it sits on Boundary Rd Vancouver side. Ordered the beef burrito and my goodness I was blown away! The burrito was densely packed full of juicy beef, rice, cabbage etc. I think the burrito tortilla is homemade as it was soft and had bits of crispiness to it. Would return and recommend!

Best. Quesadilla. Ever. I thought I had good quesadillas before, but boy was I wrong. These are amazing! They have a spice rub on the outside and the cheese they choose is perfect with a ton of meat!! I am so happy and will definitely be coming back.

Delicious mexican food! I found out about this place recently. It’s a takeout place, you can sit outside on the chair while you’re waiting for your order. You can self check out at the counter and order the food by yourself, They will call your number when your order is ready.

Jul 4, 2022 Update: Thank you, Border Burrito, for refunding part of our order! I’m appreciative of your gesture, so I’m updating the 3-star rating to 4 stars. We will have to give you a second chance sometime in the future. Jun 18, 2022: Ordered the beef/pork/chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, and pork nachos plus a side of cream and salsa through their website around 5:50pm for 6:15pm pickup on Wednesday. When I arrived around 6:20pm, there was only one other party there to pick up. I was told my order wasn’t ready which was odd; the other party received their order and left. Waited another 8 mins, got my order, and went home only to find that we had received the wrong order: beef burrito, chicken quesadilla, and vegetarian bean nachos. The beef burrito and chicken quesadilla were good, but we did not like the bean nachos at all. Tried calling the store but could not get through. Left a direct message on their Instagram account and still haven’t heard back from anyone it’s Friday now. Very disappointed with the order mix-up and in the lack of customer service.
