Books Between Friends sells donated books, CDs, DVDs,
to raise money for many Calgary charities.
Charitable organizations that provide manpower to run a weekend book sale receive the proceeds. Contact us for details.

Story

Regular volunteers come from Prospect PDD Services and Resourceful Futures who support adults with developmental disabilities in experiencing an enhanced quality of life through increased workforce and community participation.

We always need volunteers who can sort incoming books; and re-stock book shelves. Contact us if you or your group would like to volunteer.

Very clean and organized. Friendly staff, very nice hand soap and adheres covid protocols.

Wonderful little hidden gem bookstore with a massive selection. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff/volunteers are very friendly and helpful! They have a new selection every time I go roughly once a week. Definitely my favorite book store in the city!

This is by far the best used book store in Calgary! The nice lady who is almost blind now! Is so super outgoing, and the prices are the best, way better than anyone else in town. All the money raised goes to various charitys who btw are also expected to help sort books when it is their day! Go check them out!

I called to see if they had a book in stock before driving in from Okotoks and was met with a surprisingly terse and unhelpful response; if the information I am asking after is not easily accessed there is certainly a far more polite way to tell me. Thank-you for saving me the 2 hour round trip!
