This was our first cottage stay in Muskoka and Bonnie Lake resort did not disappoint. Quaint little cottages beside the lake, the location is absolutely specactular and with nature at its pristine best dressed in resplendent fall colors, it was a treat ! The cottages are fairly new constructed and well maintained, with all necessary amenities and stocked with enough games to keep the kids busy on a family vacation. It was cold, so we could not go kayaking, but we are not complaining , after all how often do you get to see the Milky Way when you look up to the sky at 8 in the evening. Their welcome center is only a call away till 12 in the night should you require any assistance. The bedrooms could be more spacious, but who spends time sleeping when you are amidst nature. We will be back sometime soon !
I was sitting along the beach on the August long weekend when a beach brawl broke out! All of a sudden, people were rushing at each other throwing punches with others trying to hold them back. There were shouts of "Stop!" "Stop!" while the resort staff did nothing. This lack of security, along with long-term construction noise and very poor treatment by Bonnie Lake Resort, drove me to leave after a year and a half. I do not recommend this resort under any circumstances whatsoever.
This is a great place for a family vacation. Modern cottages with all the amenities a/c, heating, gas stoves, bbq and fire pits. The property has a really nice beach and the lake is perfect for a paddle or swim. If you're an owner or a renter everyone is welcoming and the staff are all very friendly. This is out second year visiting here and we will be back again.
Such a nice peaceful community, with loads of activities planned through the whole season for ALL ages. TIP: You have to catch their fireworks They are amazing
Love it there, Will be travelling there next year They will be putting a pool in and couple other things. My kids loved the beach use of boats and park basketball nets Tennis as well. Fun get away for the family BOUNS: Staff are very kind n nice Bonnie lake always has something going on For instance when we were visiting they had Zoo to you for the kids!! UPDATE: so we ended up buying a trailer there we liked it so much. I also forgot to add ur about 15 mins from santa's village its a great Amusement park for all aged kids They rent out cottages threw the summer as well check out there website if u want to rent cottages
Very great experience, awesome beach access and was able to get on a nice small mouth pattern with plenty of rock beds. I was told by a local there was only large mouth. Guess they just didn't know how to catch the smallies. A finese worm on light tackle did the trick ;
Great resort experience, beautiful lake and a nice little beach, upgraded and well maintained cottages, boats and sports equipment included in the package. Nay: trail around the lake was overflowing with mosquitoes.
We used to camp at this site when our children were quite young. It was a mix of seasonal trailers and tent campers. It has a nice little beach. The whole lake used to belong to a real outdoors type of guy named Tom. He kept the lake in a pristine condition, only allowing 5hp motors,a real environmentalist. Sadly he died and the property has changed hands and is now being developed. I can only hope they don't ruin this beautiful small lake.
The beach is beautiful and spacious. Nice playground for kids. Our cottage was in the woods, they are SMALL, but have A/C and heater options as well as a bathroom with a shower. Nicer ones are on the lake but get booked way in advance. Price seems a bit high, but considering prices everywhere else this year, its affordable.
