My daughter hurt her foot while swimming in a river about an hour away. We drove up here for an X-ray. The staff was very friendly and comforting to my daughter who was in a good amount of pain. The doc was a retired army doc and really enjoyed our time with him. The X-ray machine was wheeled into our exam room which was super convenient. The facility and room wasn’t anything special, but it was clean and there was an open room for us right away. Start to finish we were there about 3.5 hours. For an ER visit, this was a pretty smooth experience and would recommend coming here!
Had to get an MRI today. Staff was really good and they were able to get me in. But please get some MRI headphones . I thought that was a standard thing. My ears are hurting afterwards. Earplugs aren’t enough that machine was super loud.
I was seen by Dr Cosse in the emergency department. She first spoke to me without even looking at my imaging, then had to come back and amend her diagnosis after she finally bothered to look at the X-ray results. I was diagnosed with Calcific Tendenosis, and given almost no treatment. Not even an ibuprofen or lidocaine patch script. It was after 10 pm and I was told to purchase it at the store. I’ve been in such severe pain I can’t sleep or eat. I asked about steroid treatment which is the standard and was completely brushed off with no explanation. I left frustrated, feeling unheard and untreated and in as much pain as when I entered.
I’m not typically the type to leave a bad review, however this whole experience was k kind of disappointing. I had a pretty terrible spill a few weeks back, and I went in to get an Xray on my foot to see if I broke it. The doctors checked out my foot, and basically told me I was over playing it even though I have broken many bones so this wasn’t my first rodeo, and I was pretty certain they were wrong. When my friend asked them to wheel chair me out the nurse even made a remark “isn’t that a little dramatic” and they kept making kind of backhanded comments towards me until I left. I waited a few days to see if it got any better, however it actually got worse. So I went to another doctor to get it checked out, and apparently I actually broke 5 bones in my foot.nnHowever, the individuals who helped with my MRI were wonderful.
I’ve just had bad experience after bad experience with them.. was rushed to the ER for horrible abdominal pain.. I received no imaging, nothing. They sent me home with “pancreatitis” diagnosis. I went to a GI specialist couple weeks later because pancreatitis is not something you mess with who told me my blood tests and all the work done indicated I had food poisoning when I went to the ER..nnFast forward to today when I’ve had what I believe is a pinched or torn hamstring. I can’t walk, or put my clothes on and have had an MRI scheduled for over a month. They have now called me three separate times to “reschedule” because their machine is down and they weren’t getting it fixed over the weekend. And couldn’t schedule me for another three weeks because they are booked out… This is the third reschedule now due to this. How is that ok? To continually push out patients who really need care?nnI’ll be driving to kootenai from now on unfortunate .
